Lucinda laid on her bed, drinking wine while staring at the card Damon gave her.
She was tempted out of curiosity to call him but she felt like she shouldn't base off the interaction he and Benjamin had.
Lucinda stared at the card some more and sighed. As she was about to pick up the phone and dial the number, her phone began to ring.
"Hello?" She asked.
"Come up to my office," Langston said and hung up. Lucinda stared at her phone curiously as to what was it she did.
She looked through the closet to find some appropriate wearing clothes and walked out. When she made it to the lobby, she saw some other assassins in the hallway communicating with each other.
They looked her way and eased her for a bit but she ignored it.
She got in the elevator and did the special access to go to Langston's office.
When she walked in, she found Langston facing the wall that was barely a wall but more windows.
"You needed me?" Lucinda said as Langston turned around.
"So, how are you?" Langston asked. Lucinda scrunched up her nose trying to figure out if this was what he called her in for when he could've just said it over the phone.
"Cut the bullshit act Langston. What do you want?" Lucinda asked.
"You and Benjamin have a mission in New York common up. I will not be going because I have shit to handle here. So, I trust the two of you will be on your best behavior," Langtason ordered.
"Yeah whatever," Lucinda said.
"Especially you, Lucinda. I know your son is in New York and I don't want you getting any ideas that will corrupt us," Langston advised.
"Alright alright. I get it," Lucinda said.
"That's all," Langston said. Lucinda turned and walked out of his office where she accidentally bumped into Benjamin.
"Oh hey," Lucinda said.
"You okay? Haven't seen you since the mission," Benjamin said.
"I'm good. You know the liquor just gave me a massive hangover," Lucinda lied while giggling a bit.
"Right right...Anyways, are you busy today? Wanted to take you somewhere," Benjamin said.
"Actually, I am busy. Very busy. So busy that you shouldn't even come by my place. Anyways bye," Lucinda said and rushed off.
Benjamin looked at her confused. He obviously knew she was lying and acting off. He shrugged it off and walked into Langston's office.
"Is she okay?" Benjamin asked.
"Oh look at that, you care," Langston teased.
"I mean she is my partner," Benjamin said sitting in the seat across from Langston.
"And as your "partner" what exactly does she know about you," Langston asked.
"Langston..."
"Listen, if you wanna fall in love and stuff by all means go ahead. I'm not one-stop your love life,"
"No one said anything about loving her. Hell, I barely know anything about her either. She's just someone I work with,"
"That's beside the point. Did you find out what Damon wanted from her?" Langston asked.
"No. She said they were making small talk but her mic was off during their conversation,"
"You need to shoot that down. I mean it. This ongoing feud the two of you had is interfering with things and I don't need him trying to make Lucinda mess it up,"
