Summary: Hermione finds out about Harry's secret admiration for Ron and tries to give hints; he obviously doesn't catch on.

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, the Golden Trio was out helping Ron with the homework he hadn't finished yet.
"Ron, I really don't understand how you put off work so much! This is just ridiculous," Hermione exclaimed.
"It's not my fault Snape's work is so boring!!" Ron retorted defensively.
Harry just sat and watched the conversation, off in his own world. His own world where Ron was by his side 24/7, talking with him and only him..
"-right, Harry??"
Hermione's voice brought him back into reality, as he raised his head higher and fixed his gaze on Hermione as it flickered back and forth between the wild haired girl that was top of her class and the red head with those stunning blue eyes.
"Uh, y-yeah. Yeah- yeah yeah yeah."
Ron shrugged before continuing to scribble on his essay, Hermione giving Harry a suspicious look before hovering over Rons paper.
Harry sighed and looked around, fully taking in the sight of the practically glowing grounds, being so carefully taken care of by none other than Professor Sprout.
He looked back at the two polar opposites and spotted Hermione getting up to leave.
"Where are you going?"
"Restroom, I'll be back!"
And she dashed off, most likely having other plans for she was as calm as a clam moments before.
~time skip~
Harry, Ron, and Hermione were sitting in the common room by the ashy and unlit fireplace, chatting about the teachers and how stupid work was (Hermione, of course, berating them for their disrespect).
Ron at some point pulled out the very essay they were working on earlier, slamming it down on the ground and kicking it a few feet away from him, as it just fluttered back over near his foot.
"Rubbish, I tell you, absolute rubbish!"
"Work is not rubbish, Ronald! Now pick up that piece of parchment right this instant!!"
"Woah, alright mum.."
Ron reluctantly bent over and picked up the parchment, carelessly stuffing it back into his bag.
"You know," Hermione began, "I think I forgot something outside. You too catch up a bit while I'm gone."
She said it almost too casually, as she strut out of the common room, giving Harry one last glance over her shoulder before disappearing through the portrait hole.
"Bonkers, in' she?"
"Yeah.. she really is, Ron.."
"You alright mate? You look like you've seen your dream woman!"
Harry snapped out of it to Rons warm breath on his lower lip, as their faces were merely inches apart.
Harry turned red but just looked around, trying to avoid eye contact.
"U-Uh.. is it hot in here or is it j-just me?? God, the elves need to control the thermostat around here!!"
"Uh, just you mate."
Harry sighed before standing up, looking around once more before turning and beginning to walk.
"I think I'll be going to bed now-"
"Wait, it's only, like, 7!"
Ron grabbed hold of Harry's arm, causing him to stop dead in his tracks.
"Yeah, I know, I'm just, really tired Ron! Can't- stay awake- much longer!"
He awkwardly laughed before yanking his arm away and power-walking to the dormitories.
As soon as he got into his four poster, he snapped the curtains shut and pulled the covers over his head, ignoring the sweat that began to collect on his forehead.
God, why were feelings so confusing???
