"(Y/N)! (Y/N)!" I heard someone call my name.

I turned and saw my younger brother, Curly, running my way. I was previously making my way to the DX to see two of my best friends, Steve Randle and Sodapop Curtis. I sighed as I stopped walking and let my brother catch up. Finally, after a few moments of running he came to a skidding stop next to me.

"What Curly?" I ask trying to be nice to him.

"Tim wants you." Curly pants out. He leans over so his hands rest on his bent knees. He huffs and puffs some more.

"Are you really that out of shape? You really need to smoke less. Or work out more. Maybe both." I tease him gently shoving his shoulder. He just glares at me.

"Tim wants you." He repeats, straightening up no longer out of breath.

"I heard you the first time. What does he want?" I ask as I start making my way back to our house with Curly following.

"I don't know. He just told me to find you and bring you back." Curly said throwing an arm over my shoulder. It would be awkward if he wasn't taller than me. Even though I'm two years older I'm shorter than him.

I do nothing but sigh once more and push Curlys arm off of me. We make our way back to the house, when once inside Tim says nothing but nods to the couch indicating for me to sit. He then looks at Curly and nods back to the front door telling him to leave. Tim stayed standing.

"Where were you heading?" Tim asked glaring down at me with his arms crossed over his chest.

"To the DX. Why did you need to know?" I ask getting irritated. Did he really have me walk all the way back just to ask me where I was going?

"Because you are my sister and I need to know where you are going." Tim said still glaring at me.

"Really? That's it? You never care where Curly is going." I stand and glare back at Tim. Sometimes I forget that Tim is much more caring about what I do and where I go. People don't know this but he has a very secret soft side when it comes to his one and only sister.

"Curly is crazy enough to get out of any trouble he gets into. You on the other hand are not. Or do I need to remind you about what happened four months ago?" He asked.

Oh yeah I had forgotten about that. Four months I had mouthed off to three socs and got my ass beat. In my defense I didn't have a blade or anything. I ended up with a black eye, two cracked ribs, and a cut going along my left leg. Surprisingly the cut didn't scar. I also ended up with quite the collection of bruises.

"Look that was four months ago and I learned my lesson. I won't go anywhere without my blade and I won't cause trouble if I'm out numbered or can be easily over powered." I recited the two major things Tim had once told me.

"I don't trust you to not mouth off. You wouldn't be you if you didn't. Your lucky Alex and James showed up when they did." Alex and James are twin brothers and are in our gang. They love fighting and often will go pick fights with anyone they can, to them it didn't matter if they fought with a soc or greaser, as long as the fight was good.

"Yeah yeah. Can I go now? I told Steve and Soda I would meet them at the DX." I say already making my way towards the door.

I hear Tim sigh behind me.

"Yeah go just be back before midnight." With that he walked past me and went out the door. Probably to see if there were any problems amid the gang or with any trespassing socs.

I went out the door and once again started making my way to the DX. I thought about what Tim said and why he seems to care so much about what happens to me. I wonder why he really cares. I know he is my brother and all, but he don't seem to care much about what Curly does. In fact he's proud of all the trouble Curly gets in. But if I do anything that may cause the tiniest bit of trouble he gets all annoyed with me. Maybe it is because I'm a girl. Maybe he thinks that since I'm a girl I can't take care of myself all that well and that he feels the need to take care of me more. Even when we were younger he was overprotective of me. One time we were at a park and I had climbed a tree and accidentally fell out and broke my arm and I had never seen Tim so distraught. He didn't cry, but he seemed damn close to it. Hmm, maybe one day I'll figure it out.
