I held on tight to the chimney, being careful not to fall of the roof. The wind was blowing at record breaking speeds. I either held on, or risked my neck.

I was cleaning out the gutters on top of Malfoy Manor, and freezing my face off while doing it. Suddenly, I heard the voice of none other them Draco Malfoy. I couldn't quite hear him with all this wind, so I climb down the rickety, wooden ladder.

I curtsied. "Master?" I say.
"Your needed inside." he says smartly.
"Of course." I pick up the ladder and hurry back inside. First I open the dusty broom cupboard and replace the ladder. Then I hurry off to find my master. I hear the grand front door close shut as Draco returns to the house. I just see him disappear up the staircase as I turn the corner into the sitting room, where Lucius Malfoy can usually be found.

To my surprise he is not in the sitting room. How odd. I search the Manor, and eventually find him in the pantry. He is getting himself a peanut butter sandwich.

"Master?" He turns suddenly and when he sees that it's me, frowns slightly. Then he points at a puddle on the floor and says, "Clean." That's it. Just 'clean'.

I inwardly sign. Why? Because being a slave sucks. Seriously, you don't even know. I see that there is an old blue rag next to the spill. I go and kneel down next to it and start mopping. Lucius stares down at me as he munches on his sandwich, making sure I'm doing it well, to his standards. I hope I am.

Just then the door bell rings. I look up at my master. He just grunts, and I know that means it's ok for me to answer it. I quickly scramble up from my knelling position and walk out of the room, happy to escape my horrible masters presence for a few minutes.

By the time I get to the entrance hall, the person on the other side of the door has rung the doorbell twice. Whoever they are, this must be real important. I sort of skip/fast walk the rest of the way, because I am not permitted to run in the manor.

When I get there, I hastily pull open the heavy oak door to greet whoever the Malfoy's are associating with these days. But the person that I see on the door step is not someone I have ever answered the door for, not someone I have ever seen. They are bold except of a few blond whispy bits here and there. They have tanned skin and a very round face, although they were not one bit fat. They were wearing a black uniform, with a little badge that said:

MINISTRY OF MAGIC. Montgomery.L.Wane. Department of Mysteries.

Ministry of magic? There's a ministry just for magic? With a minister and everything? Weird.

Montgomery.L.Wane clears his throat and says, "I am here to escort..." He looks down at a tiny piece of paper he was holding. "Miss Cherry Potter to the Leaky Cauldron, London, then accompany her into Diagon Ally to shop for her school supplies for the following term at Hogwarts school, that starts on September 1."

I don't say anything for a while. Montgomery looks down at me like, 'What are you waiting for?'
I gulp, and say, "Yes." I hold the door open a bit wider for him and he take one large step inside. I shut the door behind him.

He looks around, amazed at the size and luxurious of Malfoy Manor. This time I'm the one giving him the 'What are you waiting for?" look. Well, you can't blame him. I would love to live in a place like Malfoy Manor. Well, I do, but I live in their basement, so it doesn't really count.

"Um..." I begin. This snaps him out of it. He blushes and looks around suddenly, as of checking to see if anyone was watching.
"Oh, ah, yes yes, of course, yes." he mumbles, embarrassed.

I lead him into the pantry room. Lucius hastily puts down his peanut butter sandwich and brushes down the front of his robes. He then turns to face me and my escort to... Dilgin Ally? Dongon Ally? I couldn't remember.

"Ah, yes. It's you." says Malfoy. He puts emphasis on the word 'you'. I wonder why? Montgomery .L. Wane seemed like and alright person to me. I mean he didn't smell, or anything.

Montgomery blushes. "Yes, it me." He also puts emphasis on the word 'me'. What on earth?! Who was this man, and why did he and Malfoy seem to holding a grudge against each other?

Lucius looks down at Mr Wane's badge and smirks. "You? Department of Mysteries? Please, surely you belong in some other department, being the mudblood you are? Maybe, oh I don't know, the Department of reversal of accidental magic on muggle junk, or whatever it's called. You'd get along very well with that muggle lover Weasley."

Montgomery's face turned a horrible shade of violet. He looked like steam was about to come bursting out of his ears. Yes, he was that angry. He started to splutter a lot. Then opening and closing his mouth like a fish. I guess he no idea what to say to Lucius's rudeness. It was alright, many didn't.

"I will be taking her now then." said Montgomery when he had finally found his voice and his face was back to normal.
"Go right ahead." said Malfoy in a board voice.
"Well, where is she then?" asked Montgomery, looking around the pantry room.
"Right in front of you you blubbering idiot!" snaps Malfoy suddenly.

Montgomery notices me again and blushes. He then shoots a quick look at Lucius and then he looks back at me. "Well then, follow me Miss Potter." he says clearly, and leads me out of the pantry room. I shoot a last fleeting glance at Lucius. He smirks at me.

Montgomery leads me back through Malfoy Manor. His shoes click on the highly polished floors, while my bare feet squeak and slide. He notices this and looks at me. "We're going outside." he says.
"I know." I say. He looks back down at my feet and sighs, then pulls his magic wand (wow, a real wand!) out of his pocket.

Montgomery waves his wand a few times, and muttered something I can't understand. Then, 'poof' a pair of flat shoes appear on my feet! Wow, my first pair of shoes. Their super comfy. I wiggle my toes around in them a bit, getting used to how they feel. Then I follow Montgomery all the way back through the manor to the front door.

I open the door for him and he walks through it. I follow him out into the drive. There are two little black cars there. Montgomery walks over to the one in the back, and this time he's the one to hold open the door for me. I blush. No one has ever done that for me before. I duck in.

The second I sit in the car I am amazed by the comfy seats and how big it appears on the inside. It looked tiny from the outside, but this car was large and roomy inside. Weird.

Before I know it, the car takes off. My first real car ride! I can see the scenery flying past the window. I stare. This is epic. Suddenly I hear a voice. An icy drawl. Yep. I'm in a car with Draco Malfoy. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
