I bolt up, heart racing, gripping my bed sheets. Beads of cold sweat trickle down my neck. I look around, startled, as my heart beat slowly returns back to it's normal pace, which isn't that normal these days anyway. The last details of a horrific nightmare grip my heat, linger on my brain. I can't take this any more. I throw back the sheets and stumble out of bed.

I stagger blindly around the hospital room until I reach the door, then fumble with the light switch. At last, I switch it on, immediately regretting it. I shield my eyes from the sudden light, then slip over and land on my butt. thump! That's it. It's official. I am a walking disaster.

The sound of me hitting the floor like a dead seal must have been louder than I first anticipated, because at that moment a doctor and two nurses came sweeping into the room, a look of great concern on their faces.

I sit up weakly, trying hard not to throw up. I had no idea what the dreams meant, but I didn't like them. I'd been having the same dream over and over again each night as I slept in my hospital bed. They were scary, creepy. But I didn't tell anyone about them. They wouldn't believe me...

"Maybe you should stay here a little longer, love." I hear a female voice say.
"No!" I just manage. Four weeks had passed since the... the 'incident'. They had talked about sending me off to the school, which I know now is called Hogwarts, anyway.

Tomorrow is the day I'm supposed to leave, and now their talking about making me stay? No way. I was going to leave this hell hole, and no one was going to stop me.

I hear muttering, signs, more muttering. I'm to weak to eavesdrop, so I don't know what their discussing. Finally, the doctor left, and the two nurses helped me back into bed.

"What's going on?" I say. "Am I staying? Please don't make me stay!" Where is he going? That doctor?"

"Shhhhhh..." one nurse tells me. "Don't worry about a thing."

"But..."

"No buts. Sleep now. Oh, and, he's not a doctor."

"What...?"

The nurse chuckles, and leans in, tucking in the blanket. She whispers, "He's a healer. We all are."

And with that, the drugs kicked in, and I was out like a light.
