You betrayed me and
I know that you'll never feel sorry
For the way I hurt, yeahThe last four player - Gi-Hun, Sangwoo, Sae Byeok and Areum - entered the player's hall with the bunk beds now all gone and just four of them are placed. "Why did you push the guy?!" Gi-Hun angrily asked Sangwoo but he just kept a straight face and answered, "You got lucky and ended in the last place, what if that man ended up holding out like Deok Su?" Gi-Hun kept his seriousness and said, "It was the last tile, he was clearly going to move." "How can you be so sure?! That guy knew how to tell the difference but didn't say it previously until his turn came. We could've died if we were before him!" Gi-Hun couldn't believe his friend's words. It's true that they could've died but when they already had a solution then there was no reason to kill him... Or Sangwoo really wanted to lessen the number of participants.
Areum limped to the both and lightly pushed Gi-Hun to the side before angrily holding Sangwoo's collar and snapped, "You did that to kill me right?!" Sangwoo just kept the same straight face and tried to open her fist that held his collar but she kept her hands firm and asked again, "You knew very well you were going to push him but you still told me to go back so that I'll die and the participants gets less right?! I was a soldier here! I know everyone of you and your tricks!" Sangwoo's hands fell down and he just pushed angrily her which made Areum fall down and caused the glass in her calf to go in deeper."The fuck?!" She shouted now noticing the pain from her calf. "You betrayed all of us here." Gi-Hun ended the talk.
She saw a hand stretched for her as she took it and saw it was Sae Byeok. She helped Areum get up and both of them went into the washroom. Areum took out the huge piece of glass from her leg and tore a peice of her tshirt to wrap it around, the blood still stained the piece. "The next and final game will be squid game." She normally said to Sae Byeok who turned to Areum. "Why are you telling me?" Sae Byeok asked. "You can't hide it.." Areum got up and raised Sae Byeok's shirt a little, exposing the wound caused by the glass on her stomach that is now wrapped with her shirt. She continued, "If you want we all can just give up now and terminate the game. It's up to you though." She left Sae Byeok to herself after washing the blood stains on her face, neck and legs. Sae Byeok thought about it for some time before returning back to the hall.
After finding the VIP knocked out in the room, the front along with his soldiers started a search for his brother. They searched the passage from before and found that one of their gas tanks is Missing, "The man has swum into the ocean, search the ocean!" The front man commanded and set sail for the ocean.
Meanwhile Jun-Ho has reached an abandoned island across the island where the games where held. He threw his gas tank and started searching for the signal to call the police but he barely got it. He started climbing up the cliff.
The frontman has reached the same island and he shot the gas tank that Jun-Ho used after finding it. He scattered all the soldiers to search for Jun-Ho.
Jun-ho turned back and saw the soldiers climbing the cliff but they hadn't seen him so he started rushing more to the top and finally made it to the spot with signals. He called his senior. "Hello?" The voice answered.
"Chief."
"Jun-ho? Where the hell were you?! I haven't seen or heard from you for days!" The chief angrily asked.
"I'll explain everything later." Jun-ho tried to stop him, "I'm on an island."
"What?"
"Somewhere in the southern sea." As much as Jun-Ho tried explaining, the voice didn't quite reach his chief.
"Can you track this phone and send me backup." "What? Backup?-" "I need the coast guards and a police squad at least." Jun-ho explained further.
"What? I can't hear you." Said the chief.
Jun-ho was losing it, he internally wished he could kill his chief but stayed calm and said, "I'll send you the photos and videos." He cut the call before the chief could say anything and sent the photos and videos which were taking a lot of time due to bad network. He climbed futher away from the soldiers after completing the work of sending files.
The soldiers found him.
They followed him climbing to the top of the cliff. Even if it was dangerous, Jun-Ho couldn't choose any other path. Soon he halted in front of the end of the cliff, a step forward and he would fall into the ocean. The soldiers caught up to him and shot their gun in air. Jun-ho took out his gun and pointed it to them. "I already alerted the police about everything you did. They might reach here anytime soon!" He warned the soldiers.
"Have the korean police ever been so enthusiastic?.." the front man came into the scene. "..Besides, you barely have a signal here so I doubt the files would have reached them." Jun-ho frustrated said, "If you turn yourself in, you can make a mitigation plea." The front man didn't waste time and instead offered, "If you drop the gun and hand the phone now, I might let you live." Jun-ho recalled the events with the VIP and how he offered he 'might' let him live just like how the front is doing now. Jun-Ho firmly pointed the gun to the front man and warned him. The front man started coming forward towards him and Jun-Ho couldn't stop but shoot him. He shot the front man on his left shoulder and regretted not shooting him in the heart because that was his last bullet. The front man groaned but took out his mask.
"Brother.." Jun-Ho softly spoke from his shock. Areum never got the chance to say him about his brother. Hwang In-Ho (frontman) took some more steps forward, giving his brother one more chance to hand over the phone. Jun-Ho didn't give the phone, he stayed stubborn. In-Ho didn't care anymore and took out his gun. He shot Jun-Ho near his heart.
Jun-ho has never felt the pain that he felt now. The pain was not because of the bullet but because of the betrayal he got from his brother after he risked his life searching for him. Being shot, Jun-Ho fell down the cliff and probably drowned into the ocean.
Jun-Ho's last thought weren't just the betrayal, he reminded himself of Areum and the promise he broke for saving her before dying. SHE was his last thought.
