Uliana Donaldson. The most favored Mistress of the Emperor. The moment you say the name 'Uliana' anyone would think of the Emperor's Mistress. The Mistress has such a great influence on the Emperor to the point that he would do anything for her, because of that Uliana has complete control over the Empire's underworld. It is commonly known that if you go to the black market and do a single thing out of line that you will be murdered by her personal assassins.
Anatolya reread all the information she had about Uliana in her notebook. She sighed. Again looking out the carriage window which was heading back to her mansion. Taner didn't get along all that well with the Busch Family and the person who he was closest to befriending was Hanna Reia Busch, the Earl's second daughter.
Anatolya didn't like Haine all that much. She was an alcoholic who wasn't careful of her status, honor, and pride. Anatolya made sure to look good in public so she wouldn't ruin her family name but the Earl's first daughter didn't seem to care. All she did was eat, sleep, and drink alcohol. Her reputation was horrible. And yet, her family was fine. How good is their influence? Anatolya was confused. Anatolya didn't care much about high society and other noble's reputations. As long as her family's reputation was fine she didn't care, but it seemed she had to start caring now to know the power and influence each noble family had so she could be careful of them.
As soon as Anatolya arrived at her mansion she went to her office and looked through as many noble family reputations as she could before dinner. She only was able to read three. One document of a noble family per two hours. She had skipped lunch and couldn't afford to skip dinner and starve until breakfast. So she stopped looking through other nobles' power and influence and headed down to the dinning room where dinner was just about to be served.
Anatolya stared at the food served in front of her, a cheeseburger, her favorite. Anatolya instantly dug in. Taner stared at the cheeseburger in disgust. He did not like cheeseburgers at all. Unless the cheeseburger was from the fancy restaurant called 'Burgers are Kings' he wouldn't eat the cheeseburger. Taner instantly left the table, ignoring basic etiquette. Anatolya let him off because she was happy that her favorite food, a cheeseburger, was being served.
After Anatolya's delightful dinner, she went back to the office for a couple more hours to find out more about a specific noble's influence. She found out that she should avoid Baron Nguyen. Although he was only a baron she found out that his influence and power was great.
After searching a bit more, Anatolya found out more about the Earl's family.
The Earl's family seemed to be pretty closed off. All they had was the fact that their ancestors were great friends and allies with the first emperor of Asteria. The first emperor swore that whoever hurt his wife and great friends would pay the consequences. Although the first emperor is dead and the Empire of Asteria currently has the 1277th emperor of Asteria, no one dared harm the Busch Family because no matter how unpowerful they may seem, others speculate that they might have an magic object from the ancient times, meaning it would be from tens of thousands of years ago. The first emperor's words scared away any person who tried to harm the Earl's Family.
