Chapter 3

Shaney hi.....

" Ghod, yesterday was kinda fun". I talked with my cousin who live in U.S, I was in the kitchen eating cereal at 1am.

" theline, that was 2 hrs ago".

" It is 1am and that happened 10pm, still matter"

" I almost didn't know you theline".

" Time runs"

It's kinda weird  talking to someone that you haven't seen for a year. Her family my uncle migrate to U.S 15 years ago and they take their business with them. It kinda tough year that time not until kad came. He make me feel like her own sister . We always play in backyard playground in our childhood days but now we gotta go out every night for a drink. Time really flies so fast, graduate and reaching our dream is our plan after we turn 18. Mom and Dad suggest study abroad but i back out, i dont wanna leave kad and especially im not ready to surrender my filipino nationality.

"Beep, Beep". Notification sound from my phone.

" Ola, how can i help you?".

" Hey linn, are you available today?".

"Yes i have no other things to do"

"Okay great, im coming".

" oki>"

He ended the call and i dress up myself to prepare, he didn't tell me where are we going so i just wear floral t-shirt and some maong shorts.

" knock, knock" 

" Come in kad"

" Hi madam, kad is  downstairs waiting for you". She said that with a little nervous on her face, mom hired her 1week ago so she's kinda not good at english but thats okay for me everyone learns

" Okay yaya, tell him im coming" i just smiled at her                                                                                             i heard kad laughing with kuya miguel, i dont know what they talking about.

"Hey"

"Linn" he hug me with a pancake on his mouth.

"What's that, multitasking, eating while laughing"

" HAHA, si kuya he make me laugh man gud"

" Dont laugh while your eating, i dont wanna be in jail forever, the police might suspect me i may be the one cause your death"

" Okay, okay"

He just chew 12x and drink water. I dont know why he always laugh on kuya miguel's joke but from me he just gonna say " haha"

"Where are we going ba?".

"Just walk"

" Aaah walking while eating?"

"I stop na kaya, ohh look" he let me see his empty plate

"So bored"

I let him finish his food because nag round two og kuha si dodong .

"Let's go?" 

I just stand up and tell the yaya's were going outside for a walk.

" So wanna see the sunrise?"    

" Okay even im not fan of watching the sunrise i still come"

"why are you not a fan of a sunrise, huh"

" I hate goodbye's kad"

"Well same to me, but not the sunsets".

"So how's your training in basketball?"

"Good.."

We just walked along the shore, there's a beach in our village that's why. We bought some iced coffee in starbucks and go home.

"Kad, are you done making project in science?".

"Nope, not yet"

"Let's finish it together, deal?".

"Okay, im just gonna get my stuffs and knock on your door".

"Oki, see you later kaddie".

I check my emails and what i see is a message from my parents.

To:Theoline Fleur De la roche
From: Mr. And Mrs. De la roche secretary.

Good evening, theoline i just wanna inform you that your parents can't come  to your birthday celebration this coming month, we have so much meetings and deals. XOXO :).

I just reply a thumbs up, then turn off my phone. Im already sanay na my own birthday is normal day in my life, i dont need them to pilit themselves just to celebrate my birthday.

"Knock, knock"

"Come in, kad"

"Hey linn"

"Hello kaddie:

"So your parents called me and..."

"Yeh, they can't come to my birthday or they don't wan-nt........" tears coming down while i said that.

"Hey,hey dont worry im here for you, cause that's what bestfriend is for right?"

"Yeah...."

"You know what let's just finish our project and you sleep early".

"Ok po daddy"

"Stopp, im not fat and old to be a daddy"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA".

"See i make you laugh na"

"Thank you kad for making me laugh and my source of happiness everyday".

I can see his smile from his lips, but he tried to remove it or hide it...something.

We just do our project and i dont even know that i fell asleep ganina.

I woke up around 9:30pm and when i open my eyes first thing i saw is kad placing food tray on my side table.

"Oooh, your active na"

"Just place that tray here" i pointed out on my lap.

"Okay".

"Are you done eating?".

"Yes, yaya called me".

"Okay good"

I ate half of my food and place it on my side table.

"Kad, can i ask you something"

"Yes of course.."

"Umm is it happy that your parents are there for you?".

"Sometimes no but yes".

"Aahh oki"

"Why linn?".

"Nothing....."

"What time na kad?".

"It's 10pm".

So i just ate 20 minutes.

"Go home na, your parents might look for you and post your face with number on a bond paper in every town".

"Haha, my driver is on your garage waiting linn so don't worry".

"No, go home na and sleep early".

"UNO reverse card".

He stand up and get his bag with his phone and our project we made ganina.

"Good Night kad"
I place my left hand on my mouth and hand in to him like a flying air.

"Good Night,my princess..."
After he said that he stop and realize what he just said.

"HAHAHA".

"Mwah, night" my last thing i said after he close the door.
