chapter 1- the good news..

It was a rainy Saturday, just the way i liked it. Rain bouncing off the windows and the sound of the water drops crashing against the puddles outside. My mum was known to possibly be the new, young Royal Princess Anne in the new season of The Crown. I enjoyed the show, it brings back how much i missed before i was born and shows what life was like!

We sat. Waiting nearly all day for the call until all of a sudden *RING RING*

"y/n!! would you mind getting that?! im just getting out the shower, ill be down in a minute." my mum shouted. But what if it was important? What if it was the call we had been waiting for all day? I checked the number.

'strange, why would a unknown number be calling' i thought to myself.. i answered the call and at the other end of the line was a deep, male voice-

"hello, im Chris calling from the set of the netflix show The Crown, who may i be speaking with?"

OMG! I COULDNT BELIEVE IT! I was far to shocked to even answer the poor man on the other end of the phone.

"is anybody there?" he repeated

"y/n who is it?" my mum asked worryingly

"ITS THE CALL OF A LIFETIME!" i screamed at her as she looked at me with a shocked look.

"hello this is Erin Doherty, is everything okay?" she asked a bit nervously and anxious. She was concerned, you could tell just by the way her lips parted from the shock and her eyes widened.

"hello Erin! Im Chris calling to congratulate you on your part as Princess Anne!"

Silence. The shock was so much that my mum became speechless, now that was a sight! my mum always has something to say but this time, this was the most quiet ive ever heard her.

"for gods sake mum give him a response" i said, giggling at this priceless expression.

"ehh, well- I- I dont really know what to say..um thankyou ever so much!" she stuttered.

"no worries, you will meet the rest of the cast tonight, im sure your aware of who you may be working with?" he asked.

"yes im FULLY aware, but thankyou again.. what time do you need to turn up at this event and am i able to bring my daughter? she is a HUGE fan of the show!?" my mum said.

'wow mum! thanks for exposing me, now they are going to think im a mad fangirl' i thought, rolling my eyes.

"everything will be mentioned in the email you are about to be sent, and yes! you are able to bring your daughter along with you."

My heart dropped, i was about to meet the woman of my dreams.. the woman i have fantasised about while watching every single one of her movies since the age of 13 (now currently 17 and my mum is 38).

After the call ended, me and my mum stood and looked at each other until realising, we had to get everything ready for tonight..

what a night it will be...
