Alessia woke up groaning. Jeeny let her sleep in by the looks of it. She was such a great elf, and reminded Alessia so much of Dobby. Alessia sighed and got up. She did her normal routine and got dressed. The weather seemed cold so Alessia took a gray sweater, black jeans and light brown boots. The sweater was a bit large at the sleeves but Alessia didn't care. She just kept on thinking about yesterday. She still got small butterflies in her stomach when she thought of that dance.
Alessia's outfit
There probably was a newspaper article about it already. She headed downstairs and saw her father reading the prophet. Sure enough the ball was on the front page. Alessia didn't mind and left for breakfast. Just as she was finishing her omelet two owls came. One was a Hogwarts owl and the other was Ginny's barn owl, Denaris. Alessia opened Ginny's first, it read...
Hey Alessia! We got a new Hogwarts supply list and I didn't get my stuff yet. I was thinking you, me, Luna and Pansy could shop for supplies together today. Reply to me quick!!
Alessia rolled her eyes and opened the next letter, this one said...
A standard book of spells, Grade 7 by Miranda Goshawk
Transfiguration, an all in one by Minerva McGonagall
Potions by Horatus Clarse
Arithmetic Knowledge by Diana Welsh
Live in the Past by Hansel Kindred
The final copy of Flora by Lavender Bloom
Shield to the Supernatural by Katherine Hazelwood
The Unknown by Alvin Demarko
There was a few more things but Alessia folded the list away. She got out some parchment and a quill.
That sounds nice! Did you tell the others? How bout we all meet at the Leaky Cauldron?- Alessia
It was quick but Alessia had to go downstairs for breakfast. Today it was scrambled eggs with turkey sausages. Simple but good. When Alessia was going back upstairs the doorbell rang. Alessia opened the door to see Ginny, Luna and Pansy. Leave it to Ginny to have everyone ready the second she responded.
"Hey, are we going now," Alessia asked.
"No. We came to eat food. Of course we are going," Ginny answered back.
"Speak for yourself, Tilly is a culinary genius," Pansy added.
They all laughed and Pansy grabbed some food as they apparated away to Diagon Alley.
"Okay first Flourish and Blotts," Alessia started.
Pansy rolled her eyes as they entered the grand bookstore. Alessia's paradise. It always was packed during the summer before school. Kids were chatting happily as they looked through the books, from invisible books to biting books. A tall man with sleek black hair approached them, holding out the books they needed. He held them out and swiftly left to help other customers. Luna shrugged and went away to look through "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them." Alessia on the other hand, went to the books on ancient ruins. She found one that she always like and started reading. Her eyes glued to the page, she walked to the checkout. On the way she bumped into a certain platinum blonde.
"I'm sorry... Oh. Hey Alessia. School shopping too?"
Alessia's cheeks tinted pink and the butterflies started acting up again. What is wrong with you Alessia! You are not some silly schoolgirl who got giddy when a boy talked to her... even if they boy was Draco Malfoy who was handsome, charming, funny, kind, witty. Snap out of it! (Sounds like someone has a case of Ferret Fever;) Symptoms include butterflies, blush, giddiness and more. Cure is dating and admitting you like Draco Lucius Malfoy.)
"Hi Draco. You here alone? I should get back to Ginny, Pansy and Luna."
"Yes actually. Surprisingly, Potter invited me and Blaise to join him."
"That's nice, you are acting civil toward each other right," Alessia said that with a slight raise of one eyebrow.
Draco nodded as Alessia shuffled off. The girls finished shopping for books and bought the rest of their things. On the way to get some ice cream they bumped into the boys. Luna started a conversation with Blaise. Ginny hugged Harry and started chatting away. Pansy shifted uncomfortably as Draco made a slight step to Alessia. Alessia sensed it and had Pansy join her. They all went to the ice cream parlor and wandered around Diagon Alley again. The boys plus Ginny wanted to check out brooms. Even Alessia wanted to, during her stay at Zabini manor she starting getting more interested in quidditch. She even played a couple times. Her favorite position to play was keeper. Luna didn't mind and started skipping to the new quidditch store, "Quidditch Quarters". Ginny convinced Pansy to come too. She grudgingly agreed. The newest broom was on display, the "Light speed 360". It was a shimmering broomstick with golden engraved words. It had a invisible seat for comfort and was just faster than the Firebolt. It was gorgeous. Draco and Blaise emptied their pockets and wanted to but the broom. It was 2500 galleons, a price only the Malfoys and Zabinis would have in their pockets.
Alessia swatted their hands away and scolded them, "You are not wasting your money on a broomstick, especially when you have perfectly good brooms at home!"
The boys groaned and stuffed their money back into their wallets. They all left after staring at the things. Draco took Blaise aside and started whispering something in his ear.
Blaise nodded and announced something to the group, "Me and Draco are going to stay back to buy some broom maintenance things. You guys go on, we'll meet you all in the Leaky Cauldron."
Everyone agreed and head to the Leaky Cauldron. Blaise and Draco arrived in about ten minutes and everyone ordered some drinks. They drank and headed home.
A/N:
Hey, I'm back! No, I am not dead. I haven't been updating for several reasons. The biggest are me not having time and me not feeling like it. Sorry! Not much action but suggestions would be nice. What do you think Draco and Blaise are planning. Anyway, I'm in the car and not feeling too well so bye for now. To infinity and beyond-Pearl!
