(I'm not gonna write the whole history, but I'll start from when the Jews were taken out of Egypt.)
A long time ago, the Jews were slaves to the Egyptians. after 210 years, they were lead out by Moses, who was following G-d's instructions. They got to mount Sinai and got the Torah.
Eventually they got to Israel, and they settled there and built the first Holy Temple.
(There is much more to our history, both before and after, but since this isn't history class, Im not going to go deep.)
Basically, the Jews are G-d's chosen people, we keep all His 613 commandments, and the Torah is our way of life. 😊
