scene 6: Gender discovery appointment

Brighton the stage

(Ferry arrives on the mainland. Taxi waiting for Donna and Sam)

Script:

Donna: "Sam.(Look confused,and holding your stomach)

Sam: "Yes honey. (Notice she is confused.) what is it. Is it the babies."

Donna: "Its okay. The babies are kicking. (Smile. And flatten you hands)

Sam: "Really. Can I feel?"

Donna: "Of course. Your the father, and my husband."

Sam: "thank you. (Holds out hand to donnas little bump)

(Feels a kick)

Donna: "ohh they are done. Lets go, or we are going to be late."

Sam: "Right."

(Donna and Sam walk through the hospital doors. And walks to the main desk.)

Main desk lady: "Name please."

Donna: "Donna Sheridan. Doctor Chistou."

Main desk lady: "Doctor Chistou is waiting to the left down the hall, room 118."

Sam: "Thank you."

(Donna and Sam walk to the room.)

(They get to the room and doctor chistou is waiting)

Doctor Chistou: "Donna. Its good to see you."

Donna: "Sorry. We are late. The babies started kicking, so we were admirring that."

Doctor Chistou: "Its okay. Let me go get the ultrasound machine."

Donna: "Thats fine."

(Doctor Chistou leaves)

Sam: "How are you feeling."

Donna: "I am nervous. I dont know If I want to know the gender. We should do a gender reveal party."

Sam: "Are you sure?. I mean if so I can start calling family."

Donna: "That would be great."

(Doctor chistou walks in with the machine)

Donna: "We dont want to know the gender yet. We are doing a party."

Doctor Chistou: "Thats fine. i will seal it in a envolope."

Sam: "Thank you."

(Doctor Chistou moves the probe over donnas stomach, and watches the moniter.)

Doctor Chistou: "Alright Donna. The babies are doing great. I am a little worried about your blood pressure."

Donna: "Thank you. Ohh. What should I do."

Sam: "I am sure. You just need to slow down the work at the hotel."

(The doctor nods as he wheels the ultrasound machine out of the room)

(Sam helps Donna up off the bed)

Doctor Chistou: "Here is your envelope."

Donna: "Thank you."

(Donna and Sam walk out of the room and walk to the taxi that was waiting for them.)

Sam: "When do you want the party to be."

Donna: "Lets have it in three days, because then that gives family and friends time to get here and it gives us time to decorate. What should we do to find out."

Sam: "Lets get the kitchen staff to make two cupcakes. One will have one gender and the other one will have the other gender."

Donna: "That sounds fantastic. When we cut into them and find out. Can I have the cupcakes, because right now I am craving sweets and sugars."

(Taxi takes them to the dock and the ferry takes them to the island of kalikahori.)

(They call pepper to come and puck them up from the dock. )

(Pepper shows up two minutes later.)

Pepper: "Good evening Donna. How was the appointment."

Donna: "It went great."

Pepper: "So what are you having."

Sam: "We dont know."

Pepper: "What. Isnt that what the appoinment was for."

Donna: "It was. And this envolope says what we are having. We are doing a gender reveal party in three days."

Pepper: "Well cant wait."

(Jeep pulls up to the hotel and Donna and Sam and Pepper walk uo to the hotel)
