Scene 12: Sophies birthday part 2: Girls shopping

Brighten the stage

(Sophie walks into Donnas bedroom and see Donna sleeping on her side of the bed)

Sophie: "Hey Momma. Are you ready to go shopping. Everyone is waiting for you. Momma wake up."

Donna: "(cough) Hey sweetheart. Has it been 20 minutes already. It feels like its been 10 minutes. Are you ready to go shopping."

Sophie: "actually mom. You have been sleeping for about an hour and a half. Rosie and Tanya are waiting downstairs for us to go shopping."

Donna: "ohh wow. Lets not keep them waiting. Will you help me up off the bed."

Sophie: "Yes. Of course I will. I would do anything for my momma."

(Donna and Sophie started walking down to the docks. They went slow.)

Rosie: "well hello sleppy head. Did the babies keep us waiting."

Donna: "Hello my friends. Why didnt you come get me after 20 minutes. I would have woken up."

Tanya: "No. We know you could have these twins at any minute now. We actually checked on you after 20 minutes but you looked so peaceful. We assumed that you hadnt been sleeping well, so we let you sleep."

Donna: "ohhh. You all are so sweet. Thank you. Now lets go shop til we drop, or I am tired."

Sophie: "sounds like a terrific idea mom. But dad told me to tell you to take it easy, and if not I am abligated to to tell him and he will turn into an overprotective dad again."

Donna: "and we dont want that do we sweetheart."

Sophie: "no we wouldnt."

(All three of them walk onto the boat.)

Rosie: "What store do you want to go to first Don."

Donna: "If its alright with all of you I was wondering if we could go to the baby store. I need a cupole of things to finish up the babies room before they make there appearance."

Tanya: "I dont mind. Rosie doesn't either. Right Rosie. (Look over at rosie and give her a stern look)"

Rosie: "Right Tanya. I am looking forward to helping you pick some stuff."

Sophie: "I would love to go to the baby store Momma. I fogot to get the babies a gift at the gender reveal party, so I will pick something out and pay for it. A gift for my little siblings."

Donna: "well thats so sweet Soph. I love you baby girl."

Sophie: "I love you to momma."

(Donna and sophie hug.)

(The ferry pulls into the dock, and Donna and the girls are the first ones off)

Donna: "I an so happy we are doing this. You all are truly great friends, and amazing daughters (look over at Sophie)"

Rosie: "we love you don, and with my book being a best seller today. Donna I dont want you to spend any money today. I will pay for anything you want."

Donna: "ohh Rosie you are so sweet, but you dont need to do that. Really you dont."

Tanya: "but she really wants to."

Sophie: "pleaseee momma let Rosie pay for anything, she has worked really hard to earn the money for this."

Donna: "(look like you dont agree) Ohhh all right. Rosie can pay for anything."

Rosie: "thanks Donna. Now lets get to that baby store."

(Arrive to the baby store and begin to walk around)

Tanya: "what exactly do you need from here."

Donna: "Baby blankets. On for each. I also need bibs and Birping cloths"

Rosie: "ohh look Don. I found a cute baby blanket for the little guy. Come see."

(The rest of the girls turn around and walk back towards Rosie.)

(Rosie picks up a blue and green blanket with diferent animals on it.)

Donna: "ohhh Rosie I love it. (Feel the babies kick lightly) and I have a feeling that he loved it to."

Sophie: "I grabbed a cart. So throw it on in here."

(Rosie throws it in the cart)

(Sophie walks away for gwi seconds and comes back with sonething in a bag.)

Donna: "sophie What is that?"

Sophie: "its my gift for my little sister. I havent found one for my little brother yet."

Donna: "can I see it. Pleaseee you are making anxious."

Sophie: "ohhh all right. Her look inside (hands Donna the bag.)

Donna: "(grabs the bag and gently gentally opens it. She pulls out another baby blanket this time its pink.) Ohh sophie. I love it."

Sophie: "fead the bottom right hand corner. Pleaseee."

(Donna grabs the corner and see the embroidery.)

(Rosie and Tanya gasp.)

Donna: "To my little sister Maria Sheridan charmichal. I love you with all my heart, from your big sister Sophie. (Looks up at sophie) How did you now that was the name. I havent told any of kids yet"

Sophie: "I squeezed it out of Tanya during your nap."

Donna: "well thank you sweety. I love it so much. (Pull sophie into a hug)"

Tanya: "heres a pack of twenty bibs. 10 pink, and 10 blue. You want me to grab them."

Donna: "yes please. Thanks Tan for finding those."

Rosie: "what else do you need. Mother Donna."

Donna: "I need two burp clothes. One for each."

Rosie: "well lets find one. Sophie would you like to covor on of the birp clothes."

Sophie: "No, but can you put back the one baby blanket. Please."

Donna: "Why."

Sophie: "Well I would feel really bad if one of my little siblings had a engraved baby blanket and the other one didnt, so I am going to go pick on out and embroider it."

Donna: "you are stepping up to the plate as Big sister. Sure we can hold onto it until you come back with the other one. Agreed."

Sophie: "Yes. (Starts walking the other way.)

Rosie: "She is going to be the best Big sister in the world Donna. You raused her perfectly."

Donna: "Well thank you, both of you. I am so lucky to have you as my friends."

(Sophie comes running back)

Sophie: "Here I got it."

Donna: "may I see it please. (Sophie hands the blue and dreen blanket) I love it sweetheart."

Sophie: "This time the engraved stuff is in the bottom left corner."

Donna: "To my little brother Jackson sheridan Charmichal.
I love you with all my heart, from your big sister Sophie. (Look back at sophie) I love ti so much. You are the best big sister these babies could ask for."

Sophie: "well thanks mamma. I love these babies even more then they know."

Rosie: "everything is paid for and put into bags. We should probobly head to the ferry because we have to set up for dinner."

Donna: "Right. We got to go. Come on sophie."

(All three of them arrive back on the island and Donna went to take a nap while everybody set up for tonight.)
