Chapter VI

Zoro POV

"Wait Sanji-" I watched as he froze in his traces. Wait why did I called him by his real name!?

What do I say!? I don't want him to leave yet.. I like having him around, his clumsiness and nervousness when he's around me makes it worth spending time with him.

"Yeah?" He kept staring straight ahead but I could tell his face was glowing red.

What do I say.. I don't know what to say, he's going to leave! Say something to make him stay!

I felt a tickle at the back of my throat, shit why now. I sat my tea down next to me. I held my hands up to my mouth, my eyes where all watery from the tears forming in my eyes.

Through the coughing, I was able to see Sanji approaching me. No wait turn around, leave! I can't afford you seeing me like this.. I cant let you know. Not like this.

"Hey Zoro, are you okay?" I couldn't respond nor could I take my hand away from my mouth, I don't want him worry about me.

All the flower petals and blood started seeping though my fingers once again. I could hide it no longer..

I cant breath, I cant ketch my breath.. is this it, this is how I'm going to go out. No it can't be, I never got to tell you the truth about how I really feel.

"Hold on I'll go get chopper and I'll bring you back a water, just hold on I'll be right back!"

He stood up and turned away from me. no you cant leave, I need to tell you, don't go. I started coughing up more flower petals than last time.

He went to walk away but I grabbed the hem of his suit. I kept one hand over my mouth so I wouldn't make any more of a mess.

"Let go, I need to get you help!" He shouted, and perhaps it was just because my eyes where all watery but it looked like he started crying along with me.

I took my hand away from my mouth I need to tell him I can't die knowing I never did! I tried to speak but no words came out.

I started to black out falling on my knee, I dropped all of the flower petals and blood that I collected in my hands. My eye sight was blurred now, I couldn't see much.

I could make out Sanji getting down on his knees and placed his hands around me. "Don't die, please." He whispered in my ear. After hearing those words I passed out in his arms.

Sanji POV

"Please don't die."
He collapsed into my arms, I could feel my heart breaking into a million little piece, it feel like I also could not breath.

I got to get him to chopper! I proceeded to rap his arms around my back and started to pick him up, he was heavy. the difficult part will be getting him down this latter.

I struggled to get him down the latter but managed to not drop him. I ran to the dormitory with Zoro on my back, and kicked the door off it's hinges.

"Chopper quickly! Zoro needs your help!!" I felt tears falling down my face, one after another.

"Right!" He said jumping up and running to the hall. Chopper was always quick to respond to any medical emergency.

He transformed so he would be able to pick Zoro up easily. "Let me take him to the infirmary." I nodded in agreement.

He wasted no time to dash down the hallway, I wiped the tears away from my eyes and started down the hallway after them

I open the door to see Zoro on the bed he was surrounded by petals and blood.

"Will he be okay chopper?" I tried to hide my worry but my voice was all shakey.

"No telling for sure, from what I can tell the flower in his lungs has almost taken over.. he may not make
it." Those words echoed in my mind like a train echos in a tunnel. He may not make it.. and it will be all my fault.. he like me and I didn't reciprocate.

"Right now, I'm going to try to remove some of the petals from inside of his lungs." He looked up at me with tears forming at the sides of his eyes.

"Sorry Sanji, but your going to have to step out."
I nodded and stepped outside taking a seat on the floor next to the door, a few minutes later, Ussop Nami and Luffy started walking my way.

"Is he going to be okay?" Nami asked with a worried expression on her face.

"What happened did he get attacked by something?"
Luffy had his hand in a fist like he was ready for a fight.

I felt tears in my eyes knowing that it was all me. I was the one who was causing him all of that pain, and I had no idea.

"He started coughing up blood.. and petals." I said with a shakey voice from all the crying that I've has done.

"Can we go and see how he's doing?" Ussop butted in
"Afraid not, chopper is trying to get some of the flowers out of his lungs."

After some time of him explaining to the three what exactly went on, they left they said they would be back once Chopper was allowing guests.

After awhile of waiting, I heard a door creak. My head perked up and looked at the worried reindeer.

"So doc how is he?" I was expecting the worst.
"I'm sorry Sanji, but I can't preform the surgery."
He started crying and sniffing.

I looked at the floor, there's nothing he can do.. Zoro won't die on us right?

"But there still is hope!" He said with a shakey voice and inbetween sniffles.

"Sanji your the only one who can save him."
