The Student and the Teacher

I sat on my bed with the test in my hand, i already took the test, but i couldn't bother looking at it. I wish i would've made different choices, but i couldn't turn back time now. 
I had to wait a couple of minutes but it was already clear; the two blue lines confirmed that i was pregnant. 
I stared at the blue lines, and started crying right away. I didn't want this, i didn't want to become a single parent that struggles to take care of her child. 
Atsuto would definatly run away from me now if he finds out  about the pregnancy.  I couldn't stay here, i didn't want my parents to find out that i failed in life.  
I sat down on my desk, and took a deep breath. I couldn't stay here, i had to leave. 
I grabbed a blank paper and started writing. 

Dear Atsuto, 

If you read this, i'm already long gone, 
I know you don't want to be around me, but i can't take this anymore.
My love for you is way too strong and deep, i can't just give up on us like you did. 
But now that i found out my life is about to make a dramatic twist, 
I can't stay here any longer. If you change your mind, 
come to New York, where i'm trying to build a new life.

Goodbye.

I put the letter with the positive pregnancy in an envelope, and sighed. My life was over. 

" I have a little something for you, can i see you? " 

I texted Atsuto, and not long after i pressed send, i texted back that we could meet at the park. 
I stood up, and grabbed my bag, i put the envelope in there, and made my way to the park. 
I was nervous to see him, i tried everything to avoid him, but this wasn't something we could avoid at all. I couldn't just leave and i knew that, i had to finish school first, but there was a way of finishing school online, and i was planning to do that. I didn't want to face any of my classmates while my stomach was growing. People would definatly find out that i was pregnant.  
"Hey, what's the emergancy? " Atsuto asked as he approached me. " I'm not here to talk, i'm just here to give you something before i leave. " 
" Wow, leave? where are you going? " 
" Some place far away from here, cause i can't face the people i love anymore. " I searched in my bag for the envelope, and handed it to him. " Just open it when you're home. " i said. 
" What is this? " he stared at the envelope. " You'll find out once you open it... but i'm leaving now so i hope you'll have a great life. " i said. 
Atsuto then pulled me in a hug. " You don't have to do this, what about your parents? do they even know about this? " 
I shook my head. " No, but they will find out, i'm going to sneak out when they're gone. " i said. " It's the only way. " 
i tried to pull myself away from him, but he held me tight. " I can't let you do that, i feel like it's all my fault, is it because of what i told you at the restaurant? " 
I sighed, i didn't want to think about that stupid time at that stupid restaurant, but he made me. 
" Not only that, you used me. " i said. 
" I never used you, i would never do that. " Atsuto pressed his soft lips in my hair. " I'm just scared i will lose my job when someone finds out, you never told anyone about us did you? " 
I shook my head, Isabel knew but i wasn't going to tell Atsuto about that. 
" Can i go now? " 
Atsuto let go off me, and looked me in the eyes. " Whatever you do, i will miss you... never forget that. " 
Like he cared, he only cared about himself. 
Without saying anything back, i turned around and walked away from him, leaving Atsuto staring at the envelope. 
Atsuto sat down on a bench, and took the letter out. 
He read the letter with a confused look on his face. Then he took out the pregnancy test, and saw the two blue lines. 
He covered his mouth with one hand, and kept staring at it. He looked back to see if i was still around, but i was gone. 
He jumped up, and threw the positive pregnancy test in the bin, along with the letter. He was in shock. 
He couldn't understand he was about to become a father, but it was not his wife that carried his child, it was his student. 
He now knew how wrong this was, and he could get in trouble for what they did. 
He didn't know what to do, he was going to have a child and he always wanted that, but the timing was just so wrong.
