Eyes followed Marinette and Rose who were jumping up and down in fright. Chloe also was disgusted at the number of insects she could spot, and although she wasn't screaming like Marinette and Rose, internally she wished she hadn't agreed on going on the nature walk.

She had only agreed to this excursion because even Adrien was initially going to come. Unfortunately for Chloe and Marinette -who felt dejected by the news- Adrien had a last minute photoshoot, however, he had promised Ms. Bustier that he would arrive even at the last half an hour if he could, just to spend time with his friends. But everyone already lost hope that Adrien would have any chance of showing up before the walk ended.

Miss Bustier turned around, and stopping her movement, furrowed her eyebrows and pressed her lips in a straight line. "Marinette and Rose. Please behave yourselves. Behave responsibly. Chloe dear, they're just tiny creatures. Can you three forget about the little bugs and try to enjoy the last hour of the walk?"

Marinette walked towards Alya, flushing furiously in embarrassment. The brunette, who was walking with Nino, patted her arm and told, "Wanna see something?"

Nodding, Marinette was led farther than the rest of the class by Alya, the wind blowing the autumn leaves around them, and the orange shade of the sky settling in, creating a soothing atmosphere.

The girls came over a small hill, covered with orange leaves and autumn pink flowers, ladybugs flying around gently, bringing a smile onto the bluenette's face, contrasting the frown that was embedded on her earlier, making her look more beautiful. The wind talked around the girls, a gentle cold breeze refreshing them as the flowers danced in the wind, falling and rising. Marinette giggled and Alya grinned. "It's beautiful right? Here put this on your hair," Alya said, handing a big pretty flower to Marinette. She took it from her best friend's hand, and wrapping a strand of her midnight locks around the small stem, she securely attached the flower to her head.

Doing a little spin, Marinette giggled, breathing in the evening air. "How do I look?"

"Marvelous!"

"Thanks girl. Come, let's find an orange flower for you."

"Oh then we would match!"

The girls kneeled on the little hill, and looked for an orange flower, the wind blowing their hair up and down. "Look! A torch lily!" Exclaimed Marinette, pointing at the vividly colored lily, bringing Alya's attention to it. "Wow! It's beautiful!"

A certain blond arrived just then, receiving lots of hugs from Chloe and fist bumps from Nino, followed by a loud cry from Rose, "Yay! We're all here!"

But neither Marinette nor Alya had noticed the newcomer, but Adrien did see the two girls, and smiled, a little pink covering his cheeks.

Chloe jumped on him and squealed, "Isn't this place amazing!" Which was a surprise to most of the others because that was the first word of appreciation by Chloe that day.

Adrien sighed and tried to push off the blonde gently, which earned him a never ending lecture by his childhood best friend.

Chloe started in her high-pitched voice, "How can you push me off like that Adrikins? I joined this ridiculous nature walk, only because of you. And you show up so late, and when I try to welcome you, all you do is groan and sigh and push me away. What kind of-"

Adrien was saved by his best bud, who always managed to bring him out of the most difficult situations with Chloe Bourgeois. He thanked the DJ twice and stated, "I'm really starting to see the Chloe that you all witness. I think she's not really as good as I thought."

"Dude-" spoke Nino, finding his friend's blindness unbelievable, "There are more things that you can't see. And to be honest, I really don't know how you're so oblivious. I wish I could tell you the other two hundred and eighty seven things you can't see, but that'll take me forever."

Adrien raised his eyebrow and curiosity pricked him making him to question, "What do you mean?"

"I really can't tell you. It's not my secret to tell."

Adrien pouted and answered, "Hmph!"

Nino laughed and staring out at the scenery, the autumn leaves, the little squirrels and the peaceful wind stunned him, a calming and comfortable serenity settling in between the two boys.

Adrien looked up at the little mound the girls were playing on, flowers decorating their heads, and the wind tossing the leaves up and down. But there was something about the way Marinette's midnight locks blew in the breeze, and the bright grin that was embedded on her face with the rosy colour of her cheeks, that Adrien could feel a light blush settling on his cheeks again.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Asked Nino, who found the whole nature walk enthralling.

"Yes. Very beautiful." Answered the blond, although the objects the two described weren't quite the same.
