After that little thing with Kane, I finally was able to go to my locker and grab some things.

Suddenly I feel somebody covering my eyes and I wonder who it is.

"Guess who?" said the person with a strange voice.

"Oh God, who could that be? Maybe the only person who bothers me every day" 

"Heeeey, you're being mean" said Holden. "So, how was your morning?" he asked.

"Kinda awful, I woke up and saw Kane making out with some chick and then I forgot my clothes in my room instead of taking them to the bathroom and I'd to go look for them and that asshole was looking at me through my window and laughing" I said rapidly. "Oh and that's not all, just 5 minutes ago he stole my parking spot and invited me to have sex, so yeah my morning was great, how 'bout yours?"

"Clementine are you sure he's not your super secret crush? You guys are always teasing each other and you're always talking about him" he said to me. WHAT??

"W-What are even saying?" I nervously asked. "I hate him Holden and he hates me and it's always been like that, okay?"

"C'mon Clemmie you have to tell me who he is, we're best friends and we have to tell these things to each other" 

"It's just that...umm...It's kinda hard because...umm" I couldn't even talk properly. So I took a deep breath.

"Hi Denny" someone screamed and the whole hall looked to see who it was.

Of course it was her. Maggie Tate, the most popular girl in school. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. Holden has the biggest crush on her and he acts just like me when I'm around him.

"Hi Maggie, what are you doing here?" he fixed his hair like a crazy person. Oh God, he did that when he was extremely nervous to say something. He was hiding something.

"Well, of course I came to see my boyfriend" and then she kissed him in front of everyone. In front of me.

"What is she talking about Holden?" I asked him confused.

"Oh, Clementine didn't see you there, darling. You mind leaving?" Holden didn't even say a word to her. What in the hell was happening right now?

"Hello to you too, Maggie. I'm sorry but this is my locker why don't you go somewhere else?" I said angry. "Holden you didn't answer my question, she's lying isn't she?"

And he didn't even look at me. Oh no no no no. This cannot be happening right now.

"Wow, what a best friend you are Denny. C'mon don't leave your girlfriend waiting" I closed my locker, tears in my eyes.

"Wait Clemmie! I can explain, please let me explain" he said with a desperate tone.

"I'll talk to you later Holden" I said almost whispering.

And then I ran to the bathroom trying to not let anyone notice that I was crying.

I locked myself and started sobbing. Why didn't I talked about my feelings earlier? Maybe I wouldn't be here right now. Why do you have to be such a coward Clementine?

I kept crying and suddenly I hear a strange noise.

"Oh, River" a girl said.
