Frenemies

You walked into class and were immediately met with the snarl of your enemy
You snarled back and you both laughed

You weren't real enemies you were frenemies
You liked to mess with each other and push each other to a limit

Never over the limit. That's where the friends part came in. You didn't want to destroy each other

You sat beside him and he flicked your pencil off your desk making you get up to get it you groaned as you picked it up and as you went back to your seat you slid your hand on his table knocking his books off his desk

"SNAPE! Y/N KNOCKED MY BOOKS DOWN-"

Snape rolled his eyes and you sat down satisfied

He glared at you "next time I'll make sure you get detention"

You smirked "I'll make sure you join me"

Throughout the whole class, Draco stepped on your feet while you both fought under the table

That was 3 years ago

Now you both hadn't seen each other for nearly a year

After the battle of Hogwarts which you almost died in, your parents didn't allow you to see anyone from there or return anymore

All your messages to Draco were always left on sent

He never saw any of them and you were sure he'd changed his number

You told yourself you didn't care and you hated him anyway. But you didn't and you knew you didn't.

One day as you sulk in your room there was a knock at your bedroom door

You opened it and your mother was there

"There's someone at the door asking for you."

You walked downstairs and opened the door where your mother had left them standing

When you opened it and looked up you shrieked in shock

You leaped Into his arms surprisingly you didn't notice how much you missed him

And even more shockingly he caught you without hesitation and held you as tight as he could

You let go of him when your mother asked who it was

"Oh well this is my-"

You looked at Draco because you'd never called him your friend before

Your mother crossed her arms "boyfriend? Y/N you didn't tell me that you had-"

"No no!" You and Draco both said chuckling

"We're friends." You said affirmatively

She nodded "is he the one you've been telling about-"

"ALRIGHT... I think we've heard enough mom"

She smirked walking away leaving you two at the door

You looked at each other and started laughing

"What are you doing here!?"

He shrugged "you never called me texted so-"

"I did! You never saw or replied" you protested

He looked at the number you had on the phone

"That's not my number anymore I changed it"

You sighed pushing him into your house and shutting the door

"You could've visited"

You rubbed your arm "my mom said no because of..."

He smirked, "because I'm a death eater?"
