Sam's eyes found gulf, who is walking out of the elevator with a gloomy look on his face. He walked straight towards his seat and settled in it with a groan.

"What's up newbie?" Sam asked turning on her computer, getting ready to start the work.

Gulf groaned again like a person who was forced to remember his trauma.

"Can you not ask?" Gulf whined taking the bag off his shoulder.

"Okay..." Sam said with a shrug.

"Guys! Boss Pine sent coffee for all of us! " The head of the team exclaimed walking in followed by delivery guy with around 100 coffee cups in his hands.

Gulf was quite shocked to hear it. For the whole floor? Gulf turned to Sam with wheels running in his brain, ready to shower her with questions. But Sam already started explained noticing the 'look' ok his face.

"She is sometimes like that. Buys coffee to the entire floor whenever she is happy. Not to sound narcissistic, but most of the time she sends to the floor I worked in at that time. " Sam spoke.

Gulf frowned hearing that.

"What...even..." Gulf sighed rolling his eyes not wanting to comment on it. More like not knowing what to say.

They all disturbed the coffee and they all drank it chatting with their nearest colleague. Today the head let them take a coffee break for few minutes before they start working.

Soon everyone got back to work. Gulf, Who hasn't turned his computer until then did it.

"What the fuck.." Gulf gasped quietly getting attention from his nearest colleagues as he stared at the screen.

Sam, who was the nearest one, leaned in to look into the screen. But her seniority didn't make her as excited as others for that thing.

"Congrats, gulf. You got a chance to attend the party alongside the boss" She spoke loud enough for people around them to listen.

"Omg! The newbie got the chance!" Someone from behind said.

"Woah. Didn't expect. Lucky you, gulf " Another one said smiling happily.

Gulf didn't see a single jealous face. Most of them congratulated merrily. Even if they were jealous, no one showed it on their face.

Gulf awkwardly thanked them. When everyone got back to work after chatting about it, gulf spoke to the same again.

"Shit...I didn't expect that" Gulf spoke laughing to himself.

"Me too" Sam added without taking her eyes off her computer.

Gulf didn't bother saying anything knowing her personality.

Did the stones work? Wait did I bring stones of good luck rather than the one which avoids negative energy. Is that why it didn't work in avoiding bad energy. Maybe now finally showed the real purpose of it. Wait...Now that I don't have anything to keep the negative energy away. Is it gonna meddle with my good luck!? What the heck!

He took his phone out and clicked the pictures of the stones from under the table and sent it to his mom asking about the purpose. His mom is offline..he has no choice but put the phone away and work.

Afternoon came soon, as usual, he had lunch along with sam. Today they decided to go downstairs and have much at the nearest restaurant.

"My mom will be so thrilled if I tell her I am going to attend such a party, "Gulf said smiling sitting in a chair opposite Sam.
