Why does it feel like time moves faster on Sundays?Gulf sighed adjusting his shirt looking at himself in the mirror. Sunday passed quickly with him lazing around. Monday arrived time to attend the office also came.
"Why is my life so boring ?" Gulf asked himself in the mirror
His reflection didn't answer him. Not like he expected to be. He would be more worried if it replied.
"Boring guy" Gulf said to his reflection in the sassiest way possible.
The alarm in his phone rang showing it is his time to walk out of the house or he would be late to the office.
Gulf hurriedly adjusted his shirt and put his bag over his shoulder and walked toward his door. Just the second he opened the door, a black cat jumped over his way scaring the shit out of him.
"Oh, ma!" He shrieked jumping back into the house putting his hand over this racing heart.
He breathed heavily staring at the black cat which walked away swaying its hips like it didn't just scare the shit of him. At the same second his phone made a sound telling him he has a notification.
He opened it with caution. It's a notification from the app which tells about the daily horoscope. His caution turned into concern when he read that.
There is negative energy passing your day. Be careful with the spirits roaming around. The negative energy may attract them.
Nervous fell over his face but then turned into a grimace as he read the last sentence of it.
Your nervous energy won't be especially useful today.
He walked back into the house and searched the drawers of his nightstand. The place where is stored the stones that his mother sent him. The stones help to keep the negative energy away.
He took out 3 different stones out of 10 and put them into his pant pocket. Then breathed in relief before walking out again this time checking two sides before stepping out of the door. But it didn't make him feel revealed.
The walk to the office felt like hours despite being less than 20 min. His nervousness made him even walk faster when made for the time he delayed at the home. He calmed down a little as the office building came into the view. His steps became lighter. He checked his watch to see there are still 10min so he decided to get a coffee which was served on the ground floor for free to the employees. The only reason he won't be having the free drink here is, the line will be always long here in the morning which is the only time the coffee is free. He is too lazy for that. He would rather not drink coffee than staying in line for an hour or more in the morning.
But today surprisingly there are only two people on the line.
At least something good happening after the bad start.Seems like the stones are helping to keep the bad energy away.
Gulf unconsciously put his hand into his pant pocket feeling the stones. Then he joined the line for his coffee. It didn't take them 3 minutes to get his chance to order.
"Can I have a mocha, please?" Gulf asked politely. The girl standing at the other side of the table smiled as she wrote down the order on his cup.
Her smile didn't seem fake at all. That made gulf wonder if the baristas are used to smile at every customer that made their fake smile look real.
A minute passed by the time they gave him his order, he was in the middle of looking for his ID. As per rules, the coffee is only free for the employees of the company. Especially in the morning hours. So, It's a must to show your ID to get a free coffee.
