A New Dawn, A New Day, A New Life

Yoongi's POV

When the interview ends, everyone goes to the back for breakfast. All of us came here early in the morning, so we only had a few snacks on the way. The prerecorded interview will air tomorrow however the station choose to edit it.

I can't help but be proud of my soulmate. She did her job amazingly without any mistakes. Now she'll be both in the company, and in our lives indefinitely. The thought puts a smile on my face.

The only problem is, that she might not be with us for the next month. I figured it out and asked Sejin, who agreed. He's trying to work something out with the other managers, but there's not much he can do. The best solution is staring us straight in the face, but we've all been skirting around it.

Alexis goes off to the bathroom, and I take that as my chance to talk to her. I walk a small way into the hall, in front of an empty room. As she comes back, I catch her attention, "Alexis." She turns towards me, smiling when she sees me.

I already had one as soon as I saw her. I'll just call it the Alexis effect for now. "Hey Yoongi."

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" I ask, holding the door open.

Nodding, she walks past me into the room. The faint smell of soap and sugar passes with her. Between that and her shoulder brushing up against my jacket, a sense of comfort comes over me. The two things I haven't had that I barely knew I missed, her touch and smell.

I follow her to the center of the room. There are couches and chairs all around us, but we both stand facing each other. I see her up close for the first time in a while.

She has slight bags on her eyes, her tired state hidden but obvious to me. She's still beautiful as ever. "Are you okay?" I can't help but ask. That's not what I came in here to ask her, but I haven't spent any time alone with her since the car ride to the hotel back in Brazil. Such a long time ago.

"I'm fine. Why?" She asks.

"You look tired." I gaze at her features. Her full lips, and button nose, her soft jawline. Her skin got darker from the sun, previously honey-colored but now golden. More prevalent from the waves cascading down her back. And those wide sapphire eyes, God I love those eyes. But they are half-lidded unconsciously.

"Do I? Well, I guess it is still a bit early." She touches her face, lightly patting it as if to wake herself up. She notices me staring at her. "I'm okay Yoongi," she grabs both of my hands and grazes her thumbs on the palms. I would be lying if it isn't heaven. "Is that what you were worried about?"

I struggle to get my focus back with her question. I need to ask her this, but I don't want her touch to stop. Instead, I ask her something else, something equally important.

"Do you like being on tour?"

Her eyes light up, telling me her answer before she says anything, "Of course. This is always what I've wanted to do!" She explains genuinely. "The constant time changes are a bit stressful, but I've always wanted to do something that lets me travel the world, and I love learning languages. This is my dream! And I get to be with...," she looks at me.

My heart flutters, understanding what she means. She's happy being here. Being with us. I didn't think she would continue but she finishes the sentence, "With you guys." She says smoothly, "my soulmates."

Butterflies. I check to make sure the bond didn't go off, because everything feels hot. The gentle hold she still has on my hands is like an anchor. I have to look away from her gaze.

She smiles at my reaction, but she doesn't know how deeps it goes. Her laugh brings me to look at her face. Damn, her smile is perfect. The crinkle in her eyes, her voice, the singular strand of hair that rests across her nose.

I never want this to end. I can't fathom going another month without this, without her. I need to get this over with, so I don't ever have to be away from her. Never again.

"Alexis," I say seriously. She immediately grasps the change in the atmosphere. She lets go of my hands.

"Yes?" She asks calmly.

Her eyes follow my hand as I grab of strand on her nose and tuck it behind her ear. "I want to tell the company."

She doesn't get what I'm saying right away, "Tell the company what?"

"That we're soulmates. All of us." Just like that, she pauses. I would give anything to know what's going through her mind right now. Various emotions flitter through her eyes: hesitation, wonder, happiness, worry.

I give her all the time she needs to respond. "Are you okay with that?" She whispers out.

My eyebrows draw together at her question. "Of course, I would. Why wouldn't I be?"

"I thought you that you didn't want staff to know. Just in case someone releases, well... me." She states.

"They all signed NDAs honey."

"I know, but anything can happen. I didn't think you would want ARMY to know that you all have a soulmate." She explains.

I finally understand now. I can't blame her thoughts. After all, Sejin immediately went to hide her away as soon as she teleported. We've gone through extra effort to keep our relationship hidden from our peers this whole time, and everyone went with it. Us, for her safety. Her, because she thought it's what we wanted. And Sejin, well, probably for the reason Alexis explained: security.

But it's been too much. Too much work to hide her, when that's the last thing I want to do. The last thing all of us, want to do. I don't want to be right next to her, and not be able to talk to her.

I take a step closer and cup her face gently, "ARMYs don't care if we have a soulmate or not. As long as it's okay with you, I want to tell everyone."

She gives a heart wrenching smile, "If it's okay with everyone else, I don't mind."

It's been forever and a day since I last posted a chapter, have to admit. College is not it. I might just take Yoongi's advice.

Anyways, I wanted this chapter to give a little more depth to how much the guys are in love with her. What, with the endless amount of fluff. Also, progression! They are moving along, slowly but surely. We'll get there one day.
