I got my thinking cat on!

'It was sunny just a minute ago! What's with this crazy weather!' I shouted as I ran through the streets towards my home. I stopped in my tracks in front of an alley way after hearing some pitiful mews. I walked towards a box that held a small dirty kitten. I quickly but gently scooped up the kitten and tucked him into my thin jacket in an attempt to keep the freezing kitten at least somewhat warm. I hurried home as quickly as my feet could take me. Once inside I took the kitten out of my jacket and looked at him in the artificial light that illuminated the room. The kitten was all black except for an orange face. The kitten sneezed as it continued to shiver.

"Hello, my name is (name)." I smiled at the kitten and I could have sworn that I saw him smile back at me.

"Ah! Dear me! Now's not the time for introductions! You need a nice warm bath." With that said I held the kitten close to my chest as I made my way to the bathroom. I made the bath warm but not too hot and set the kitten inside. Once the kitten was clean I wrapped him up in a towel and softly began to rub him dry. I brought him to the living room and set him down on the couch. Sitting next to him I absentmindedly petted him. When I looked at him he was already asleep.

"You must be exhausted." A small smile forms on my face as one of his ears twitch.

"Who in their right mind would leave such a small and cute kitten out on their own..... I guess you could stay here. I've been wanting a pet any ways." A yawn escapes past my lips as I to begin to drift off into slumber.

I was shocked into consciousness the following morning by a loud mewing sound. I looked to my side to where the kitten had been only to find it empty. Another mew. This time I bolted towards the sound and came across the funniest sight. There was the kitten all covered in flour as he tried to escape the tub of the white powdery substance. Giggling I pick the kitten up.

"Looks like you're gonna need another bath." Once the kitten was clean I set him down in the living room.

"Now stay out of trouble as I clean up the mess in the kitchen. Once I'm finished with that I'll make us some breakfast." As I stand up and idea hits me and I take the note book off of the table, tear a sheet out, crumple it up and toss the makeshift ball across the room, giggling as the kitten scrambles after it.

"If I'm going to keep you, you're going to need a name." I walk off to the kitchen and began my mission to get it clean. All the while I'm watching the kitten play with the paper and thinking of various name I could give him. One stood out to me though. Tobi. The kitten had the same personality and color scheme as the S-rank criminal from the Naruto franchise. So it would make sense that Tobi would be the perfect name for him. I decide to try it.

"Tobi." The kitten stops playing with his ball and looks at me. I smile and walk over to him crouching down and petting him behind his ears.

"That's what I'll call you. Tobi." Tobi purrs as I continue to pet him.

"Welcome to the family! I hope we can get along!" Tobi mews in response. 'I can already tell that life with this kitten is going to be full of surprises.'
