A/N: I thought of this scene while writing the opening paragraph. Also, this story is told through the perspective of my favourite clone boy Fives.

I sat on my temporary sleeping pod, my booted leg dangling off the side as I browsed through the holonet, the room illuminated a pale blue, while loud snores and light coughs filled the air. Echo was trying to fall in the pod next to me, tossing and turning in discomfort, the odd groan of frustration escaped his mouth, the bright light coming from my datapad didn't help this either.

I turned the datapad off, tossing it down below into a bin, it made a loud thud as it hit the plastoid armour, a fellow member of the 501st legion called 'Owl' slept below me, he seemed to have snapped at the clanking noise, peering up and letting out a whisper yell "Shut it fifty-five fifty-five!"

It felt like I just fell asleep, as my eyes shot open. I peered over at that little bookworm's pod, noticing he was gone, I couldn't help but think 'Where the hell is he? It's probably only 7!', so my only course of action was to check the time, because Echo doesn't like it when I comm him for some reason. I checked my left pocket for my datapad, sliding it out and powering it on. "8:15?!" I yelled at myself, some cadets walking by snickered. I hopped off the bed, snarling slightly at the impact of the fall, but that couldn't stop me from getting to training, not good 'ol Fives!

I was sprinting down the halls, looking around frantically for Echo, it felt like I turned about 80 corners until I noticed the janky unbrushed head of Echo, I ran even faster now, letting out a loud bark "Hey!" lowering the tone of my voice as I got closer to him "Wait up, Echo! Why are you walking so fast?" he gave a snide response "It's not that I'm walking fast, you didn't go to bed so I didn't wake you up." I gave an over dramatic sigh, which led Echo to confidently smirk. Normally I would scrap with him over this, but we didn't have time to waste.

Echo and I entered a crowded room, similar to the schooling hall from when we were cadets, the room filled with the sound of boots peeling off the floor, as the combination of expired cleaning supplies and spilled drinks made a glue-like film covering the durasteel flooring. After a few minutes of idle chatter amongst the clones, Alpha-17 entered, unknowing he was there I was startled by the booming "Atten-TION!" coming from the leader of the ARC Training Program, the entire room snapped to the front of the room, holding their back straight and chin level. Alpha-17 began ranting "This will NOT be like training as cadets, you WILL be training to become the best of the best. Do not expect thai to be easy, if you go in with low expectations and a bad work ethic, you will fail. When you were cadets, there was leniency, this will be gone. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!" he finished, as a loud echo surfaced "Yes, sir!" was the response given by the hundreds in the class, followed by complete silence.

Alpha-17 resumed by giving basic instruction and a general test of knowledge on the Reg Manual and Protocols of the GAR. I dreaded this already, while Echo could barely contain his excitement, slightly jittery to the eye, to others he might've looked like a regular Hardcase.

And they were off, they were given an hour to complete the testing. I was deep in thought, using all his brain power to remember those damned regulations, as to him they were just muscle memory. Echo breezed through it, he was enjoying himself doing it, that much was clear.

After around 30 minutes, I finished the first part, that being Regulations, as he moved onto the naming of Clone Protocols. Echo was nearly done by this point, a big smirk spread across his face as he typed in the answers, this was what he trained for.

The hour was up, me and Echo had already submitted their tests and Alpha-17 spoke up "Now, that is all for todays testing session, quick but effective. Regroup tomorrow, UNDERSTOOD?!" without a second passing, we responded "Sir, yes, sir!"

A/N: I hope this goes somewhere lol, I'll try to get at least three up by the tomorrow at the time of writing this, hope you enjoyed!
