A/N: Almost time for The Citadel.
I punched in the digits to unlock the door to my quarters, as it slid open, Hardcase jumped.
"Hey! We're trying to play some sabacc here bucko." Kix teased, Jesse remained silent, deep in thought. "Well shit, my hand sucks." Hardcase slammed his cards on the table, folding. I spoke up, "Me and Echo are grabbing some grub, anybody wanna come?"
"Yeah, I'll meet you there." Kix responded, Jesse gave an agreeing grunt, still focusing intensely. "Well, I don't want to be left out, so, this is a no-brainer." Hardcase nearly never ate, but he also likes to socialize.
"Alright." I grabbed my gel from the dressed, plopping some onto my hand, and upon inspection. "GOD DAMNIT HARDCASE, WHY?!" I looked at what I think is shampoo, It better be shampoo. I walked over to the prankster in question, slapping him with the hand covered with the cream cheese like substance.
Hardcase gagged, "Yeah so, I'm gonna go take a shower boys." He stood up and speed walked out, retching. I walked over to the dresser, rubbing the filthy hand on Hardcase's only pair of blacks, moving my way over to my armour bin.
I began popping the armour pieces on, grabbing Echo's helmet and my own, storming out of the room, trying not to keep Echo waiting too long. I slowed down, noticing the General walk by, I naturally opted to salute, the helmet of course blocked me from doing that. "At ease Fives, you don't have to slow down for me." He gave a light smirk, as I shot my arms down and turned my brisk walking pace into a full-blown sprint.
It didn't take too long for me to get to the small cafeteria, Echo was sitting alone at a table typing something, but who knows with that guy. "Hey! Echo, no Datapads at the table! Use your manners!" I shouted from the other end of the messhall, the one they call Owl bursted into laughter for some reason, while my buddy Lockjaw gave a light nasal exhale as he passed by.
"Bah! Manners? You seen this place?" Echo yelled in response, as I jogged over. I slid onto the bench opposite to him, tossing him his helmet. "Thank you." He muttered. "So what were you typing there?" He gave a dismissive grunt in return, "Quit being such a little bitch, are your boxers riding up your shebs?" I decided to give a playful insult, he gave a light laugh, he caught onto what I was doing.
"WHAT'S UP BOYS!?" Hardcase roared as he strutted in, Kix put his head down and, hand up in an attempt to dissociate from him, Jesse played along dancing in with Hardcase, considering we're related, he has some exceptional footwork.
"EY! WHAT IT DO!" I yelled in response, Echo chuckled at the antics. Lockjaw walked back over, slightly irritated by the yelling "I am trying to get some work done in the next room, can you guys be quiet, please?" Hardcase just waved him off, and jogged over to our table. "Our bad, fancy intelligent republic man." Jesse forgot what the rank was, but rolled with it. "Republic Intelligence, corporal." Lockjaw said as he walked away.
"So, where's the food you promised?" Kix asked, to which Echo responded "Somebody grab it, I'm not getting up." I opted for the obvious route "NOT IT!" I barked as I slammed my hand on the table. Kix did the same, followed by Hardcase. Jesse groaned, as he slowly walked to grab our trays.
He set them on the table, as the three of them sat, and dug in. "This egg tastes like piss and cigarettes, is that normal?" Hardcase asked, chewing the rubbery fried egg. "I'm more worried by the fact this egg is dark orange." Kix replied, "Oh, and make sure to come to me when you guys get food poisoning." He added on, smirking at his subpar joke.
Ahsoka strolled into the Messhall, already carrying food. The entire room saluted, and stared at the plate of bantha steak she had in her hands. "At ease and, I'm not sharing, Anakin made it just for me, so don't ask." She said with a heavy tone of sass. We all looked down, lowering our hands. I chewed hard and quick on the gluey egg, making a loud squeaky noise. "Can the noise, Fives." Jesse elbowed me lightly. I stopped making the squeaking, "Hey! Commander!" I called over, waving her to sit down with us. She walked over, and plopped down between Echo and Kix.
