Bonten x Reader | 400 and something words

Warnings: it is just an idea. I am not going to go further with it. I literally just wrote it like rn. Violence, illegal activities, idk, Rindou gets beat up. Mediocre writing, spelling and grammar mistakes, the usual.

Recently established, Bonten was looking for fighters. High School students weren't material for the kind of organization Mikey envisioned. Even with menaces like Kakucho, the Haitani brothers, and Mickey himself, they weren't going to be running after small flies.

There were rumors in the underground about an illegal fighting competition called The Cage where only the fittest survived. That's what Mickey wanted, the best of the best.

The cage was filled with vicious people. The newcomers often came out of desperation, hoping for quick cash. Yes, it does provide inhumane amount of money, but the cage doesn't always work that way. Once you step foot in, it's winning or coming out in a bag. After all, there are no rules; once you are inside the cage, you do what you have to come out on top.

Weapons are allowed, no protection is given, and the surprise factor for all fighters, they never know who will be their opponent or, on rare occasions, how many there will be.

"So our ticket in is Rindou?" Takeomi scanned the papers that Kokonoi handed to him.

"We needed a way in to scout, and they aren't accepting new members, just new fighters," Kokonoi's explained. The rest of Bonten quietly taking in the news.

"With your background, you're probably going to be paired with their top dog," Mikey told Rindou, "beat him, don't kill him. We are recruiting. Remember that." Mikey turned his attention towards Kokonoi, "Negotiate the payment, Rindou wins, and we get the fighter. We won't take any other kind of payment."

"You should have sent Kakucho," Ran scoffed, he wasn't all into the plan since his brother would be going alone, but he trusted the strength of his younger brother.

-

"I told you! You should have sent Kakucho!!!" Ran just saw his brother being knocked out.

"I wouldn't have won either," said Bonten's number three. "I wouldn't be able to throw one hit."

"You're calmer than I thought you'd be," Kokonoi eyed Ran suspiciously. He feared Ran could go ballistic for his brother, and they would need to hold him. But surprisingly, Ran just stood there observing the fight.

"Koko, he's in shock." laughed Sanzu, "It's a woman beating Rindou! How do you want us to react," Sanzu was having the time of his life.

Mikey and Takeomi were quiet since the fight began. They observed the person up there and couldn't believe it. They haven't seen you since Shinichiro's death.

"Mikey, that's Y/N," Takeomi's heart crushed at his own voice saying your name. But Mikey didn't answer. Takeomi glanced at his silent leader and saw a lone tear sliding down Mikey's cheek.

"No, that's no longer Y/N,"
