High achiever- Luke Hemmings

Chapter 2

(Luke's POV)

"Guys we need this recording to be perfect." I stress. Me, Calum, Michael, and Ashton are working on our first full studio album and right now we are recording our first song.

"We know Luke! Don't worry it will be perfect." Calum said getting annoyed. I didn't mean to sound or be pushy it's just that this is our dream and I want us to be the best we can be, but I can tell you one thing putting in 10-13 hour days at the studio was not doing our attitudes any good.

I'm honestly surprised we haven't come for each other's necks yet.

"What of the intro sounded like this?" Michael played a catchy riff on his guitar and we all nodded our heads showing that we liked it.

"That sounds really good mike! And on the third repeat we could bring in the vocals! And Calum could work in a bass line behind it and Ashton on drums." We all smiled because we had finally gotten somewhere in the three hours we've been in the studio.

I was about to put my headset on but our studio tech came in before telling us he needed to introduce us to someone.

A lady in a skirt and blouse walked into the studio carrying some folders with here and smiled at us. Of course we all smiled back but they could both see the confusion on our faces.

"This is Evelyn. She is your manager that the record label has assigned to you." He smiled and went back behind the glass in the studio.

We all got quiet because we all knew that this meant it was real. We were actually about to start living our biggest dream.

"Hello boys. I'm here to help keep you on track while also not sacrificing fun and I will also be your tour manager. I'm really excited to be working with you." She gave a slight nod and went behind the glass and sat down with the tech.

"This is insane." Ashton fiddled with his drumsticks.

"I know it feels like all of this just happened overnight." Calum whispered.

I was about to say something when the microphone from the booth sounded.

"Time is money boys! Now let's make you an album." Evelyn says jokingly...at least we think.
We all nod and I go to the voice booth to record vocals because that's what we all agreed on to do first and then we would work the instruments around it.

A few hours later we all agreed that the vocals were finally perfect and we could move on.
It was now Michael's turn to record but before we could even start in the corner of my eye I caught sudden movement in the room behind the glass.
I turned my head to look and there was a girl?

She looked to be about my age and she had a backpack over her shoulder but slung it off and sat on the sofa.

She was really pretty.

I would definitely be lying if I said she wasn't.

She looked at her mom said hi and then started bringing books out of her bag and focused on on them.

"Earth to Luke." Calum snapped in front of my face and brought me out of my gaze.
I looked at him and he smirked cuz he saw who I was looking at.

I rolled my eyes at him and turned back to face them.

This all has to be a fever dream.
