Oddly Coincidental Dreams

Chapter 1: How it Started

    Now, I'm not sure how many out there know Rise of the Guardians, so I will go over these events as if you do not. (FYI: It's a good movie, and I would highly recommend it.)

    Rise of the Guardians is a Dreamworks film that was released in Canada November 12, 2012. It is a movie that stars the guardians of childhood: Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Sandman, and Jack Frost. They fight against the antagonist who is looking to destroy the children's belief in the guardians. Without belief, the guardians lose their power and become weaker. In the end, as usual, the heroes of the story win and defeat the villain.

    Now, to bring attention to this villain. Most children know of Him, being one of those "behavioural modifying" stories that their parents tell them. The boogieman. Or known in the movie as Pitch Black. In Rise of the Guardians, he is a tall man, by my assumption is somewhere between 6ft 6in to 7ft 2in (7'2" is what I found on a general search for his height.) He has pale grey skin, raven black hair and a pair of golden eyes that at different angles and lighting look silver. He's dressed in a long cloak of shadow that covers most of his body. In the movie he corrupts the dreams that Sandman gives the children turning them into nightmares, being Black horses made of sand with golden-red orange eyes.

    Since I first saw Rise of the Guardians as an older kid, I was never scared of Pitch Black. In fact, he was my favourite character, for rather simple reasons. He was cool, and I will not deny, I found him rather attractive. Now looking back, this was about the time where I found most villains of the shows I watched more attractive than the heroes or main characters. So not exactly out of the ordinary.

    After seeing the movie, I did what any normal fans do at least once in their life. I made my own character to fit in a side story (Fanfiction). However, I was one of those people, then, and now, who doesn't like to mess with cannon. So any stories (Fanfictions) I wrote ended up taking place after the movie, or off on a long side branch to later join with a timeline after the events of the movie. I did research on the characters and studied them, so I could try and get as close to their personalities and characteristics as I could.

    Short form: I put a lot of time into this fandom, for my own personal entertainment.

    Now that all of that is covered off, We can get to the first dream.
