This is bad! Tomoha thought. Her reunion with her bestie went terrible and all she could do was feel like a fool.
"Ms. Tomoha?"  Tomoha quickly opened the door, and forced a smile on herself. Gressil frowned, "I know your faking it."
    "Am I that noticeable?"
    "No, I'm just magical."
"I'm starting to think you really are..."
"It's likely, but I'll have to kill you if you found out the truth..."
"Whatever," Tomoha mumbled, "was there anything you wanted to say?"
"It seemed that my warning has yet to reveal itself." A pondering look was in Gressils face, "would you like a hint?"
"For what?"
"For the fortune I gave you?"
"I don't recall you telling me one." Tomoha said, she did want to waste time.
"I told you before we went to the ceremony, remember?" Now Tomoha started to get a idea of what Gressil was saying. "I'm sure you could figure it out, but a hint is always helpful!"
    "I'll take the hint"
"What you claim to know is not what she has known; her vagrant memory is gone from a tragedy!" The wording was still incorrect, but Tomoha understand that something happened. "She is fragile, My dear, frigile like a Jasmine. Her life has been removed and thus she had taken the harder hit than us..."
"Hi, am I bothering something?" Tomoha looked behind Gressil to see Rayne and a tense wave fell over the room. The goth just gave Tomoha one look before leaving.
"Get to bed soon," he said, Tomoha nodded in agreement , "it's very late and tomorrow is a busy day!" The goth then closed the door, leaving the two girls to themselves.
"Where have you been!" Tomoha said, "I've been looking everywhere for you!" Rayne just stared at Tomoha as she started to cry. "Do you know how much I've waited to see you!" The girl just looked at her, a shock expression on her.
"You've been looking for me?" Tomoha nodded, "why?"
"Because we're friends!" Tomoha said, sobbing each word, "that's what friends are for, we're supposed to be there for each other!"
"We're friend?" The gray haired girl nodded, she could no longer speak, "like, before everything happened?"
By now, Rayne felt a little bit sad for Tomoha. The girl that she just met was a forgotten friend who was dying to see her, and she ended up treating her like a stranger. She wanted to help, but all she can do was get the crying girl to a comfortable chair in the room.
"I'm sorry if I reacted differently then you expected, but I'm not the person who you were waiting for," Rayne explained, "yes, I'm Rayne Liebert, but at the same time I'm not," Tomoha stopped crying and just listened, "the Rayne you know is a complete strange to me, and while I'm interested in learning about her, I mean our past before the whole tragedy, I don't think I'll ever be able to be her again, you know what I'm saying?"
"I-I feel ashamed, I shouldn't have had such high expectations in a world like this..."
"Tomoha, it's not your fault, you've naturally expected Rayne Liebert, the one who you know, to meet you again," Rayne make a small awkward laugh before continuing, "and while it did happen, it wasn't something that you could control and my amnesia was also something I couldn't control too, so in the end it was nobodies fault."
"I guess that means we aren't friends anymore..." Tomoha mumbled.
"Who said we couldn't be friends!" Rayne happily said, "just because I lost my memories doesn't mean we can't being friends! It'll be the same as before, just not as close as before, ok?" Tomoha smiled before getting up, she has finally understand that what's in the past was in the past.
    "look at the time, Rayne!"
"Oh, looks like it's getting late, we should go..."
"Yep, also, feel free to join Ultimate Hope, the foundation could always use the help!"
"Will do, see you around!"
Tomoha quickly walked to her dorm, as a member of Ultimate Hope, all members were to be logged into dorms close to the borders so that if any Murks or Ultimate Despair's were to invade Ultimate Hope could quickly jump into action.
"Hey Tommie, heard you were talking with one of the newcomers, how'd it go?" Tomoha turned to see Navin, he was her dorm neighbor, so the two know each on a more closer relationship.
"It went well, I'm excited to work together with Rayne if she joins the team..."
"True, but you don't know if she'll be place into search and rescue like us..."
"It's ok, we could hangout after work!" Navin nodded in agreement, but it was obvious he was tired. "Oh my, I forgot how late it is, let's continue this later!" Without skipping a beat, Tomoha quietly closed the door.
