A small surprise

As they had met up with Her Excellency, and gotten their daily missions - the four friends walked their own ways and started on their own tasks. Gorou's task was to check the area around Mouun Shrine, and clear it for enemies if there were any. He walked towards his task-location and kept his eyes open, his ears also moving around to listen. His steps were careful, as the woods he walked in was known for it's shady creatures. He had a tight grip around his bow, and was ready to fire off if needed.
He suddenly heard movement at his right, and turned around, and changing his stance quickly. His eyes squinted, and his bow was pointed at the bush in front of him. Suddenly, a squirrel hopped out from the bush, and Gorou sighed. He lowered his bow, and smiled softly at the little animal that was looking at him curiously.
"Don't worry, friend. I won't hurt you..." He spoke, before he threw a small pine cone in front of the squirrel - the animal taking it afterwards. It started chewing on it, and Gorou silently walked away.

He was slowly getting closer to the area he was supposed to patrol in, and he was careful not to be too loud in case there was any fatui or other foes nearby. He eventually arrived at the beach, and admired the beauty of the sun hitting the water, making it look like crystals. Suddenly, he heard a small growl, and a group of hilichurls ran towards him. He took a deep breath and shot at them with his bow, hitting every single one of them perfectly in the chest - finishing them off pretty quickly. Now there was only a samachurl left, and that was easy for him to get rid of as well. He sighed, and brushed sand off of his clothes, looking around to see if there was any more enemies around.

He suddenly heard applause behind him, and his ears stood up straight, and he turned around quickly with his bow prepared.
"Now, now... Don't fire off, my friend..." The person spoke, trying to calm Gorou down. Gorou's eyes widened once he realized who he was extremely close to shooting.

"Kazuha...?" Gorou said, obviously very surprised. The white haired boy that stood in front of him, smiled friendly at him, and approached carefully.
"Surprised to see me?" Kazuha asked, Gorou's tail moving side to side. Kazuha chuckled a tiny bit.
"Sure seems that you're happy to, at least." He smiled, Gorou jogging up to his old friend and giving him a warm and friendly hug. Kazuha accepted, and they stood there - greeting each other. After a minute or two of talking, they started walking alongside the beach, catching up. The sun was shining brightly, and the waves brushed against the shore. Gorou and Kazuha had taken off their shoes and was now walking in the water, talking about all sorts of things.

"So... You finally decided to come back?" Gorou asked, Kazuha let out a small chuckle. He talked about Beidou, and the rest of the Crux members - and how they had finally gone into land again.
"Yeah, Captain Beidou decided to take a small break from the big blue. And she let me go, not giving me any tasks." Kazuha responded. He stopped walking for a minute, to look at Gorou.
"So, i decided to come and hang out with you! Wow, your hair sure has grown since last time we saw each other..." The white haired boy spoke, Gorou nodding in response.

"Yeah, i haven't really had the time to get a haircut..." Gorou answered, his giggle sounding a tiny bit nervous. He was secretly extremely happy to see his old friend again, and he wanted to spend as much time with Kazuha as possible.
"Hm... I could maybe help you cut your hair? I mean, I've been helping Beidou with her hair ever since i joined the Crux." Kazuha suggested. He was indeed pretty skilled with hair, and he could probably become a hairdresser if he wasn't a samurai. Gorou nodded, and the two looked at each other with kind smiles on their faces. Kazuha suddenly cleared his throat, and they started walking again - wandering together on this sunny day.
