Apollo
Persephone Amphitrite Pearl Jackson. Interesting name, very long too.
That was the name of Poseidon's illegal daughter, his first-ever mortal daughter in fact and wasn't that something. The first time he has a daughter is after he had sworn not to have any more children. Her life would be filled with bad luck but at least her mother was smart enough with the names. Persephone to give her favor with both Hades and Zeus and Amphitrite to cover Poseidon's wife and Triton and Pearl to show her heritage, at least that would reduce the dangers a bit.
Of course, I knew about her, honestly, I knew about her even before Poseidon and her mother, I could have told on uncle P at several different council meetings but no one listened to me the few times I tell them about my glimpses they all wait for the oracle like she controls me and not the other way.
:::::::::::::::::
The first time the council heard about the girl was when Athena walked into a meeting with a huge smile on her face. Hermes and I shared a look and got comfortable in our thrones because she had that same smile as when she walked in for the council meeting after winning Athens. Her eyes were singing the line 'I know something you don't know,' over and over. I couldn't wait.
The whole meeting was a bore, the other gods talked about various problems on the agenda but Athena's time came when the floor was opened for discussions. Athena stood, very dramatically if I may add, then walked directly to the center of the room like she wanted no one to miss her words.
Her eyes became brighter just before she spoke, "Father, Queen Hera and council I just wanted to lend my help to my dear uncle, Poseidon." Now from that statement alone, you could tell shit was about to go down. "Go ahead Athena, speak," dad said his interest, like everyone in the room, peaked. Uncle Poseidon seemed to be going through every mess he hadn't mentioned to the council and I could pinpoint the exact moment he realized what Athena was talking about. His frame seemed to shrink on itself, his hair grayed, his eyes blazed but sunk in his cheeks, his skin paled and finally, his aura flared. Now Poseidon was easily one of the strongest gods, if not the strongest, and it was easy to forget due to his laidback, chill vibe with laugh lines, bright eyes and a joyous smile.
He looked directly at Athena, "Athena," He began as a warning, "do not go digging in matters that do not concern you."
Pride and fear are two powerful emotions not as strong as love or hate but strong still. Athena was scared but she was prideful. Her pride led her to continue. "Why uncle anything that is of the safety of Olympus is a concern to all of us," she said in a sugary voice. "Poseidon, peace," dad said then turned to his favorite child, "Athena speak freely." Her smile only got bigger.
"I was walking in the gardens in Olympus when I heard from a nymph that the lord of the seas has been frequenting the earth, it had been a while since uncle has roamed the earth so I went to see what had drawn his interests."
She explained about Sally Jackson talked of how she saw them walking on the beach together and mentioned how Poseidon was holding a bundle in his arms that looked and sounded like a child. Like she hadn't done enough she went on to mention how the child seemed to be a few months old and very familiar with the father and just to make everything worth it, she mentioned how the child's aura seemed powerful even at a young age.
The throne room erupted, "HOW DARE YOU?!!?" My father screeched looking at his brother but Poseidon was looking at Athena looking every bit the god he was supposed to be. His eyes blazed and his clothes changed to armor as he stood from his throne and marched to the center.
"Athena, I respect you as a rival and every bit the strategist you are, I invoke your wisdom daughter of Zeus. Mark this day, remember this for it is on this day that you made a permanent enemy, It is on this day that you, wisdom goddess, have been barned from the oceans and seas it is on this day that every water deity, every subject, everything under my power is your enemy. Mark this day for I swear on the Styx you have made a permanent enemy of the seas."
Everyone was silent, not one person or thing moved, then he turned to Zeus and the rest of the council, "Persephone Amphritite Pearl Jackson, is my first mortal daughter and she has the protection of all the seas, I protect her for she is my own, I broke the oath but I don't regret it," dad looked just about to pop a vein, "Anyone that is to cause harm to her will be met by war, that includes you brother." They seemed to have a mental conversation then Poseidon left after throwing one last glare at Athena.
