I pulled my silver hair from my face. My dark blue eyes stared into the water, blood seeped from my nose. Spitting out the iron blood taste from my mouth once again. I looked back up as my vision went a little blurry. A click to my left snapped me back to attention. Looking over to my right I saw my sword, then to my left, Pillager. His stark gray skin and bloodshot eyes sent a curdling feeling.

I slowly stood and stared him in the eyes, daring him to let the arrow plunge into my chest cavity. "Shoot the arrow," I said daring the Pillager to end me. He smiled showing his spiky teeth. I cringed as blood dripped from the teeth, my family's blood. Fury went through me as his finger inched slowly towards the trigger.

Before I could react a shiny orb flew through the air. Where it landed on the ground a man appeared. He wore a green hoodie with black cargo pants. Black boots, accented with a white mask with an emotionless smile painted on. His dirty blonde hair was fluffed around the top of his head. Before I could react I was pushed out of the way. He pushed me conveniently to my sword. I grabbed the hilt and stood up as my head began to spin. I looked down to my side where a fresh red liquid stained my forest green turtleneck no sleeve sweater.

Great, just great. The man that had appeared was fighting against the Pillager knocking his crossbow from his hands. But to no avail, he was knocked back. I decided to attack but heard the click from his bow. I ducked as an arrow went soaring where my head was moments ago. I got back up but I was too late when the sound of a hard object hit the ground. Blood pooled on the grass, a pair of blue boots next to the once, whole Pillager. His body disappeared as the man turned around to face me.

"I could have done that myself," I say as I sway a bit from the amount of blood lost. He chuckles a laugh that could charm anyone.

"If I remember correctly, you told him to Shoot the Arrow." He says gesturing with his hands. He wiped the blade of his sword clean of the blood with a dark red piece of fabric. He looked me up and down, reaching in his pocket and throwing a vial of red liquid towards me, "Drink that to heal your wounds." The strange man started to walk away but he turned around.

The warm red liquid seeped into my throat, coating my tongue. Immediately I could feel myself feeling better.

"Do you have anywhere to go?" He asked with a hint of sadness.

I looked up and started to tell a lie but realized he deserves the truth. He just saved me one of my three lives. "That Pillager killed my family. My dad said to run and take my brother away, so I ran. But not quick enough, he killed him off about a mile in the other direction." I could still see and hear as my brother's last life was taken.

"You can come with me, I could use a brave fighter on my side someday." He turned around fully and reached out for my hand. I reached out my hand, soaked in my own blood. The man didn't hesitate when he grabbed my hand, spreading my blood to his. "I'm Dream." He, uh, Dream said to me.

"I'm Tunes." I simply replied to Dream. He cocked his head to the side.

"Well, Tunes, it's nice to meet you." I nodded my head in reply that I also felt the same. We began walking to a nearby forest edge when I looked back to see the bloodstains on the rocks by the river. I took a deep breath and ran to catch up.

"Soooo... What were you doing this way?" I asked Dream, wanting to know why he had been there to save me in the first place.

"Trading, on the way to the village though I saw smoke. So I thought I would go see the cause. It was just a band of Pillagers camping out. So I killed them all and saw you through the bush.

I nodded my head again understanding what had happened. "Did you ever get to trade?" I asked another question. He shook his head. "Good cause I could use some new clothes." Dream chuckled at that but kept a good pace towards what must be the village.
