Star Wars - Episode VII: The Knights of Ren

Act I

EPISODE VII

THE KNIGHTS OF REN

It is a time of civil unrest for the Republic. The fall of the Evil Galactic Empire has spread chaos and uncertainty to many systems and threats of insurgencies and criminal uprisings threaten peace.

Senator Leia Organa, in her attempts to unify the New Republic has amended the NEW REPUBLIC REFORMATION ACT, a treaty that, if signed, promises to heal the old scars left by the Empire

With a new Imperial insurgency rising on the Industrial Mining planet of JAKKU, Leia sends her brother, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, and his padawan, Ben Solo to investigate these claims of rebellion and attempt negotiations.

Act I Scene 1 

[The title crawl pans down from a wide shot of the night sky, dotted with stars, to a vast city, large, appearing industrial, with large columns and billowing smoke rising from them. Starships fly across the city, it looks to be a dirty and smog filled city of industry. The city is under seige, and blaster shots can be heard from far above.] 

[In the city below, citizens of the system run away from the firefight, imperial stormtroopers fire on the population. The Stormtroopers armor looked dirty and very used. Some citizens fight back, but they are quickly gunned down. It is clear that the stormtroopers have the upper hand in this siege.] 

[A large, black ship descends, while Stormtroopers gather around the landing pad, guarding the ship as it makes its slow descent. The ship lands and for a moment it sits, steaming and smoking. The ship opens and a man, dressed in the uniform of an Imperial officer exits the ship. A chrome plated Stormtrooper officer approaches him as he exits] 

General Hux
 Report, Captain.

Captain Phasma
 Sir, Jakku remains under our control, and the limited Republic resistance is being dealt with. 

General Hux
 Excellent work Captain. Have the rebels requested reinforcements from the Senate? 

Captain Phasma
 Our scouts indicate that a transmission was sent to an unknown source, requesting aid. 

General Hux
(nods, looking unconcerned) No matter. Even if the New Republic sends aid of any kind they will be obliterated before their cargo even hits the surface. And they wouldn't dare send troops. 

Act I Scene 2 

[The scene shows a black planet the color of coal, with streaks of red snaking along the system, like rivers, and a large, Republic cruiser overtakes the shot, filling the screen.]

 [The scene shifts to the interior of the ship, and reveals a Republic General standing at the helm. The Captain walks up to the general] 

Republic Captain
We're making our approach sir.

 Republic General
 Good. Inform the Jedi we will be landing shortly.

 Republic Captain
 yes sir. 

[The Captain steps away and walks off screen. The camera follows as he walks off screen into another room]
