Gun's POV
I awoke in Mark's bed. I knew right away I wasn't in my own bed in the employees' quarters because this one was so wide and luxurious.
I looked around his suite and wished that I could stay forever in it. Wait, what was I thinking.
I looked sideways and realized that Mark was not in bed with me.
I tried to recall what happened last night.
After Mark had given me so much physical pleasure, I tried to do the same but he had demurred saying that it was best that we finished our shower and go to sleep.
I wondered where Mark had gone off to.
I glanced at the digital clock on his bedside table. Oh shoot it was half past eight. I was so late for work! Why did Mark not wake me up. He must have known that without an alarm to wake me up there was a big chance that I would wake up late for work. What if his father needed me for something first thing in the morning. I was in so much trouble.
I bolted out of bed and rushed out of the room, not caring how disheveled I look with my rumpled hair and wrinkled clothes.
I ran towards the clock in machine and timed myself in.
One of the housekeepers approached me to say, "Mr. Siwat is looking for you."
My heart thudded loudly in my chest.
"Which one, the son or the father?" I already knew without having to ask but still I hoped that the answer would be 'the son'.
"The father," was the answer just as I had anticipated.
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me to Mr. Siwat's office. I knocked briefly before hastily turning the doorknob and pushing the door open.
Mr. Siwat looked up slowly from signing a check. His solemn face turned into a curious expression as he surveyed me up and down, taking note of my disheveled appearance.
"I'm sorry, sir, but I was told that you were looking for me," I said when he just continued to stare at me without saying a word.
"Um ... yes ... I saw Mark loading three big boxes into the company van before driving away," Mr. Siwat said.
Oh shoot, I was supposed to help Mark bring those boxes to the homeless shelter downtown.
"I was wondering why he had left without you," Mr. Siwat continued to say. "He had mentioned yesterday that you were going to help him bring those boxes downtown."
I had to think quickly what to say to Mr. Siwat. He was not going to be happy if he found out that I had been sleeping with his son on his son's bed.
"I ... I ... the inventory ... I needed to do an inventory of the house supplies in the stock room ... " I hated myself for stammering.
"I just came from there," Mr. Siwat interrupted me.
I wanted the floor to open up and swallow me. If he had just come from there, then obviously he wouldn't have found me there. I had been caught in a blatant lie.
I fought back a sob. I never felt more embarrassed in my entire life. Should I just come clean and then pack my clothes in my suitcase and make my way to the airport and take the first flight back to Thailand?
Mr. Siwat continued to fix his gaze on me, obviously waiting for me to give an explanation as to why I was not in the stock room when he had gone looking for me.
I was about to open my mouth to stammer out another lie when the door burst open and Mark rushed inside.
"Dad ... "
Mark froze on his spot when he saw me. He looked from me to his father, taking note of the mortified look on my face and his father's raised eyebrows.
"Dad ... I can explain ... "
Mr. Siwat rose from his desk. He looked me squarely in the eye, completely ignoring Mark's presence.
"Gun, I need you to pack your clothes right now," I heard Mr. Siwat's serious voice as if from a distance because my blood was pulsing loudly on the side of my forehead.
"Dad, why are you doing this," I faintly heard Mark protesting. "Please don't do this, Dad."
"He has to do it," Mr. Siwat insisted. "He has to fly immediately back to Thailand."
"Dad! Noooooo!"
