You tapped your foot impatiently as you stood waiting for your good friend Molly Hooper outside of Scotland Yard where she worked. You two were going to grab a bite to eat since you two hadn't seen each other in a while. She had been busy with work, and you had been hunting for a job since you just got out of college. You turned on your heal to go sit on a bench while you waited for Molly to get off when you ran straight into someone. Considering how clumsy you were it wasn't a surprise that the collision sent you tumbling to the ground.

"Oh, I'm so sorry I-I didn't see you," you stuttered as you got to your feet.

"Don't worry about it," said the man you had bumped into. He was rather tall with a smooth baritone voice, and mesmerizing ey- woah woah wait you literally just met the mad and you're already fantasizing over him, geez (y/n) get a hold of yourself. You stood there awkwardly while he watched you with a frustrated gaze.

"Hmmm," he said, " Interesting." With that he strode away. You watched him go confused. Interesting? What was that supposed to mean? You were contemplating what just happened when someone interrupted your thoughts.

"(y/n," said molly as she exited the building " You ready to go?"

"Oh ya," you snapped out of your daze " Lets go."

About half way through dinner you just had to ask who that stranger you bumped into was. "Hey, Molly" you said interrupting the meal.

"Ya (y/n)"

"Do you know a man about yea high, trench coat-"

"Oh, ya I know him thats Sherlock Holmes." As she said his name a slight blush crept to her cheeks. Well you couln't blame her he was really cute.

"And who exactly is Sherlock Holmes?"

"Oh, right i forgot your American," well that was true you came here two years ago to finish college. "Well, Sherlock is a brilliant man. He's a 'consulting detective.' basically he solves the crimes that have the police stumped. Which happens quite often, but he is a bit of a... uh..."

"A what?"

"He's a high functioning sociopath."

"So he's basically a very talented psychopath?"

"Well....Yes,"she said a bit disappointed that i wasn't as fascinated by Mr.Holmes as she was.

"Hmmm, interesting."
