The ring of the school bell was more like an alarm, it was loud and annoying. Elisa headed to her locker to begin to gather her things for her first class which was English Writing. It was her second favorite class, simply because part of her routine was writing in the morning to clear her head, and after last night, she had a lot to write about. She opened her locker to find a light pink rose, and attached to it was a small piece of paper with a phone number. Right next to the phone number were the initials "T.C." Elisa could only assume this was from Timothée. She looked at the rose and smiled to herself. It was really sweet of him to do this for her, to go out of his way and make an effort to keep talking to her. 'He must have really liked talking to me' Elisa thought to herself. She studied the rose and felt the soft pedals while looking at the blushed tint that covered the flower.
Almost as if on queue, Jasmine and Frankie walked up to her, making Elisa jump a bit. She quickly hid the rose in her locker and closed it. "Hey where were you last night Lis? We looked out on the balcony and you both were gone. We only assumed that...you know." Jas asked leaning on the locker next to Elisa. "Well, when I looked over at you both, you looked drunk out of your minds! You couldn't have driven me home, and it was getting late." She said looking at both of her friends with her arms folded. "So, how did you get home?" Frankie asked looking at her. "Um...My sister came and got me.." Elisa lied and turned to reopen her locker forgetting that she had put the rose back in there. Jasmine and Frankie looked at each other and then back at Elisa. "He took you home didn't he?" Frankie asked with a smirk on his face. Elisa sighed looking at the floor before nodding. "Oh My God! Timothée Chalamet took you home? To your house?!" Frankie said excitedly. "Shut up please. Its not a big deal, and I don't want to make it one guys. We had a good talk last night, and then he took me home. That's all that happened." Elisa explained looking at both of them before opening her locker and seeing the rose fall to her feet. "Then what is that?" Frankie asked looking at the pink flower. "Is it from Charlie?" Jasmine asked as Elisa picked it up and sighed. "No, its from Timothée. I found this with his phone number attached to it in my locker this morning." Elisa explained calmly. "Wow. You sure you didn't hook up with him." Jasmine asked again. "Jas, I swear on my life we didn't." Elisa said looking at her friend.
The final bell rang for students to head into their classes. "We'll talk more about this at lunch. I've got to get to class." Elisa said closing her locker and heading in the direction of her English class. She opened the door and sat down just as the late bell rang. Her English teacher Ms. Guidry closed the door behind her and turned around greeting her students with a smile, as she usually did. Ms. Guidry without a doubt was one of if not the nicest teacher at the whole school. She had been Elisa's English teacher since her 10th grade year. Out of everyone, Ms. Guidry would be the teacher she missed the most. "Good morning students. Go ahead and get your journals out and I will begin the free timed write of the morning." Ms. Guidry said as she headed to her computer and put on calming music as per usual. Elisa got her journal out and began writing any and all thoughts that seemed to have her clouded her brain. Once she got going, she didn't stop until she heard the timer go off, which felt more like 5 minutes versus 15. Ms. Guidry looked over at Elisa and smiled. "Elisa, you usually write amazing things during these timed writes. Would you like to share this morning?" Elisa glanced at her paper and at what she had written. Immediately she got butterflies rereading what she had put down. She then looked up at some of her classmates looking at her, and she immediately changed her mind. "Um..Not this morning Ms. Guidry. I'd prefer if you only read it after class." She said simply and politely. The brunette teacher smiled and replied sweetly, "Okay sweetie. Of course." The rest of English class passed rather quickly. Elisa was mostly taking in every detail of the classroom, the lesson, everything, since she wouldn't be seeing it again after this next week.

Elisa, Jasmine and Frankie all waited in the lunch line as it moved slowly with the students getting their lunches. The trio was speaking mostly about Timothée and what Elisa had spoken about with him. Honestly, Elisa was kind of getting annoyed of it, but at the same time, she couldn't stop talking about him. As the seniors got their lunches and headed back to their usual spot near the water fountain on the courtyard, the questions didn't stop. "So do you think he likes you?" Frankie asked looking at Elisa. "I don't know, its doubtful. I didn't intend for anything to happen with him. He was staring at me a lot though." She said taking a bite of her apple. "What about you Lis? Do you think you like him?" Jas asked looking at her friend. Elisa sighed. "I don't know Jas. I don't even know him, we just had a conversation for a half hour and then a silent ride home in his Lexus. I mean, was it nice to have a conversation with an attractive guy that asked about me and wondered about my interests, yeah. It was a nice change of pace, but I'm not going to say I like him because I don't know him well enough to like him." Elisa rambled, sounding a little annoyed towards the end. She looked at Frankie and realized she may have said something she should have left out. "A fucking LEXUS??" Frankie exclaimed as if he was the one getting the car. "Frankie shut up." Elisa said through her teeth. "So, are you going to make any attempt to get closer to this guy?" Frankie asked calmer. "Maybe, all I know is that he was on my mind this morning, or else he wouldn't have ended up in my timed writing this morning." Elisa shrugged handing her friends the paper she had written in English earlier. "Wow, are you going to give this to him?" Jasmine asked handing the paper back to Elisa. "I planned on it. He had asked me if there was anything of mine that he would have written, and I said no, so I figured I'd show him." Frankie and Jasmine nodded in agreement. "Well, you can go over there now. He usually sits over there near the window with his friends." Frankie suggested gesturing in the direction of where Timothée usually sat. Elisa looked over in that direction and saw him. Admittedly, she felt the butterflies from last night come back and was suddenly afraid to get up. She took a deep breath and slowly stood up and without thinking, she started walking towards him. Her head was elsewhere, and her legs were just carrying her towards this guy she may or may not have developed a crush on.
"Hey Timothée, could I see you for a second?" Elisa said approaching the guy who had left a rose and a phone number in her locker. He nodded and told his friends he'd be back. As they walked to a corner Elisa heard some catcalls and other annoying sounds seemingly coming from Timothée's friends. "What is it?" he asked smiling at her. Elisa nearly froze in that moment, but after a few seconds, she got herself back on planet earth. "Did you leave this in my locker this morning?" She asked him holding up the rose she had found. Timothée smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I didn't know what type of flowers you liked or if you even liked them at all, so I went with the most basic one. One that even looks beautiful when destroyed." For some reason that last sentence sounded even more poetic than it was when it came from his lips. Elisa was somewhat distracted by the exact color of his hair, how it looked golden when the sun hit it, and how soft it looked. There were a lot of features that stood out to Elisa when looking at Timothée, she just didn't care enough to notice last night, or it was too dark. The one thing that stood out to her was his eyes when he was talking. They seemed a lot more green than she remembered, they almost matched the leaf on the rose she was holding. "It's beautiful, Thank you." She smiled as she started to get lost in his eyes once again. "I wrote this for you this morning. Well, not specifically for you, but I remembered last night you had said you'd never read anything I wrote so, here." Elisa smiled handing him the paper. Timothée looked at her and said softly "Thank you Elisa.." Just then the bell rang for the students to head back to their classes. Elisa smiled at Timothée and said "I've got to go, but I'll see you after school?" as she began to walk back to her friends. "Yeah, I'll meet you here." He said smiling before giving Elisa a brief hug goodbye. Once again Elisa was caught off guard, but that quickly calmed when she caught a small whiff of his cologne. Instantly, she got weak again.
As she walked back to Frankie and Jasmine, they looked like they were going to freak out again. Elisa really wondered why they did that so much. He was just a normal guy. A normal, attractive, tall, poetic, gentleman. With eyes greener than any trees she'd seen in Washington. "Well? What did he say about the rose Lis?" Jasmine asked a clearly spaced out Elisa. "Oh..um he said he went with a basic choice..and that he wants to meet me after school-Have you noticed how green his eyes are??" She asked changing the discussion topic. "Yeah, they've always been that green hun" Frankie replied. "Andd we saw he hugged you? What was that like?" Jasmine added. Elisa smiled at her two friends "Amazing... he smells like lavender and Sandalwood with a bit of tobacco even though he doesn't smoke.." She giggled. Frankie shook his head as they all headed towards their classes. "You've got it bad babes.." He said chuckling.
