The Light of Seto Kaiba's Life

Something Definitely Unexpected

Seto and I walked inside of the Dome where the reveal was going to be and there was everyone I invited. Yugi, Atem, Tea, Duke, Joey, Ryou, Tristan, and Serenity. This was going to be so fun!

"Alright guys!" We turned over to see Mokuba and Roland holding 2 BEWD nerf guns, one for me and one for Seto. "We will see what my older brother and my sister-in-law will be having! Place your bets!"

I looked at our guests holding 1 colored piece of paper, of either blue or pink.

Yugi, Atem, Serenity, and Tea held pink paper while Duke, Tristan, Ryou, and Joey held up blue.

"Shoot to the sky, guys!"

We aimed up at the sky and everyone counted down for us.

"3! 2! 1!"

We shot our guns and PINK powder was spewed across the Dome air; resulting in a GIRL!

"Yes! I'm having a sister!!!!" Preston shouted as he hugged me and Seto, I cheered and gave Mokuba a hug as well into our family circle.

Everyone cheered and clapped for us, and now, time for cake!

Seto's POV

After the gender reveal, we went home and were thinking of names to name my daughter. 

"How do you feel about having a girl, Seto?" My little brother asked me, knowing my answer. 

"As long as she is healthy, Mokuba." I said to him, and I glanced at Preston in the back seat through my mirror. "Preston." I looked back on the road, so we wouldn't crash.

"Yes, dad?"

"What girl names do you like for your sister?" Even though Preston is 3, he is smart and should know some female names. 

"I like my mama's name, daddy. But, I don't know any girls." Okay then.

"Honey, we're not naming her after me. I'm sure we can come up with one before she arrives." Julia pointed out as we were pulling into the driveway.

We got into our home and we all took showers, then put on some comfier clothes. 

"Hey, Seto? Can we have a movie night? Just us 4, please?" I sighed and rolled my eyes. 

"Fine, but you will be coming with me to work tomorrow." Tomorrow is Friday anyway. 

"Um, babe tomorrow is Saturday. You have off." I mentally face palmed and headed towards the kitchen.

"Okay, great. I guess I'll spend my day tomorrow in my home office." I turned on the coffee pot and saw that it was almost 7:30. Good thing we ate after the reveal, or else I would be hearing Mokuba and Preston complaining over food, and my wife since she's basically eating for 2.

"Seto." I turned my head to see Julia looking at me sternly since I made that comment about work.

"What?" I asked, turning my head back to the coffee machine for my cup to be brewed. 

"You're working tomorrow after we relax tonight? Why not take a full 3-day weekend off?" She suggested, but it angered me. Out of nowhere, I slammed my hands on the countertop and the coffee machine beeped, reminding me to remove my cup of coffee. 

Julia's POV

"Preston Michael, upstairs." There was absolutely no reason for him to slam his hands down, especially in front of my son. After I hear both his and Mokuba's feet go up the stairs, I notice my husband looking at me with intimidating eyes. 

"What is going on with you?" I asked him, curious on what is going through his mind.

"I have been putting back so much work for you and Preston, and I can't take a 3-day weekend. Ever." He admitted, as he turned his body around and leaned against the counter top. 

"That is not a valid reason to slam your hands on the counter. That scared me, Seto!" I put a hand on my stomach. "I can't stress anymore. If I do, it will not end well for me or the baby. So, whatever is stressing you out needs to stop." 

"Don't claim my stress to be yours as well, Julia. You should know better than that!" He shouted at me, making me flinch and my heart skipping a beat. 

"I married you! Any stress in this family is BOTH OF OURS!" I screamed at him, trying to make my point valid to him, but I guess that didn't make anything better.

"You know what; fuck this movie night. I'm working now." Seto tried to walk passed me to go into his downstairs office, and I got a gentle hold of his arm.

"Please, don't go-" 

SLAP

I got hit. My husband; the Great Seto Kaiba hit me. 

As the seconds went by for me to register what happened, I look up to see Seto irritated, with tears in his eyes along with instant regret. Without being able to comprehend, I just wlaked passed him myself and went upstairs.

"Julia, wai-"

"Go to work." 

"What?" 

"Go. To. Work." I said, pissed off with tears in my eyes. 

My right cheek was stinging. I went into our bathroom knowing he was following me and locked the door behind me. I felt the wall on my back as I slid down, hugging my belly and crying into my stomach.

"I don't know what happened.." I whispered between my tears. "But, I will protect you and Preston."
