Hope's Pov
We were flying back to the Helicarrier, and Loki hasn't said a thing since we captured him. Natasha was informing Fury of what was going on through the radio. After she was done explaining, Fury asked
"Is he saying anything?"
"Not a word" Natasha replied while concentrating on flying the Quinjet.
"Just get him here. We're low on time" Fury ordered before cutting the call.
We were all suspicious about why Loki had given up so easily. He could have just continued fighting but he didn't. Something was not right. It shouldn't have been that easy for him to comply
I sat in front of Loki while listening to Steve's conversation with dad.
"I don't like it," Steve muttered
"What, Rock of Ages giving up so easily?" My dad quietly asked as I could hear the sarcasm in his voice.
"I don't remember it being that easy," Steve said as he turned to look at Loki, "This guy packs a wallop"
"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow"
I chose to ignore the rest of their conversation as I turned my head to face Loki, who was staring at me so intensely. He was so fixated on me that it was starting to make me uncomfortable.
"Will you stop staring at me?" I snapped after a few minutes.
He grins "Well, what else am I supposed to look at?"
"Um, anything else but me," I said it like it was obvious.
He asks innocently "How can I when you are the most interesting thing to look at?"
"Really? Well if that's the case" I pretended to look for something in my pockets before lifting my middle finger at him. With a little blue flame on the tip of it.
"How about now?" I asked sarcastically
My dad tried to hide a smile while Loki just glared at me. He was pissed. Before he could say anything, Steve intervened "Alright, that's enough. Hope, don't engage with him." he said sternly. I rolled my eyes at him before turning to my dad, who was trying to avoid eye contact with me.
"Are you still upset with me?" I asked my dad.
"You damn right I am," he responds coldly. "But we'll talk about this later once we are alone"
I sighed at his response. I understood why he was so angry at me, but I had my reasons for leaving. The main one was because of Loki, but I couldn't tell him that.
"I have to say, I didn't expect you to be a Midgardian" Loki cuts in
My dad and I both turned our heads to him, as he looked at both of us with fake curiosity.
"And what did you think she was?" My dad asked him angrily.
"Well, I thought she was a beautiful goddess from another realm. But I didn't expect her to be a Midgardian. Are you sure she's related to you?" Loki questioned.
"How about you stop complimenting my daughter?" my dad snapped at him. Avoiding to answer his question.
"Or what? Are you afraid she might fall in love with me if I continue ?" Loki asked mockingly.
With that response, my dad tried to march up to him but I quickly got in front of him to block his way as I tried to get him to stop.
"Dad, Dad, stop, He's just trying to get a rise out of you," I told him while pushing him away from Loki. Luckily, Steve was able to help me by pulling my dad away as he ordered. "Alright, that's enough!"
