You yawned as you walked down the dark path to Espresso Cookie's experimenting area. You knew he had coffee but you felt like he had been more tired than usual. You breathed in the cold, comforting air. Your feet crunched on the rocky, dirt path. You looked up and there it was, Espresso's little study area. You saw his wavy, brown hair and his round, pale glasses. He was looking at his packets of coffee flavors it looked like. Espresso glanced up at you, "Hello Y/n. Why bother me at this time?" You rolled your eyes, "You need to sleep Espresso. Your coffee can wait until after you've slept." He let out a small laugh, "Sorry dear. I need to make this perfect!" "Pleaseee-" You said, you were worried about his well-being. He fully looked up at you with his dark eyes, "Fine, I just finished this part. I'll give it four hours." You smiled. He slightly smiled at you and left this study area to walk with you. You didn't live in the same house, but you lived close to eachother.

You breathed in the comforting air again. Espresso Cookie was glancing around at the sencery. You looked down at him, his hands looked so soft. You took your hand out of your pocket and slowly took his hand into yours. He had a surprised look on his face but slightly gripped your hand. His hands were soft but calloused. You smiled, looking at the stars in the sky. A few minutes passed of silence. "I think I'd say thank you. But not totally, you still distracted me from my work." Espresso finally said. You giggled, "Yeah yeah, no problem." You gave his hand a squeeze. You glanced up and saw your f/c house. "Well, this must be a goodbye. Sleep well Y/n." Espresso waved at you as he stalked to his house, which was in front of yours. You waved back and headed into your house.
