christmas lights, herb x reader.

Herb was honestly very eager to spend Christmas with you. You were also eager to spend your Christmas with your partner. You and Herb bought a fake pine tree instead of a real pine tree for your Christmas tree. Herb and you were setting it up, Sparkling, Mint Choco, Vampire and a few others were coming over for an early Christmas party later that day. "Herb, can you pass me the lights?" You asked, wondering where in the room he was. "Uhm...About that Y/n-" You heard him explain. You turned around and saw Herb tangled up in the lights' wires. You blinked and laughed, "Herb! How did you even get in that mess?" He smiled his warm, genuine smile, "I'm not good with wires and things." You rolled your eyes, hiding a smile and came over to untangle him. The lights were quite colorful and fit Herb well to be honest.

"Maybe you should wear that for the party." You commented teasingly. Herb smiled even more and laughed, "If I can't get out of this, I might as well." At that moment you realized you aren't good with knots either. You took a breath and studied the wires that the lights were on. You walked around Herb. Ahaha! You found the main knot and started to untangle it. "Wow, you're actually pretty good at this." Herb noted. "I'm not but thank you." You fumbled with the knot some more and you got it out. "Herb, the main knot is defeated!" And with that the lights fell down gracefully. Herb beamed, "Guess I won't be wearing that for the party!" You laughed, "Shall we start with the tree now? I think maybe we should do the lights later. The lights don't seem to enjoy you." Herb smiled and giggled, "Alright, that is true. Let's decorate this plastic tree!" You both laughed and you started to get to work on the rest of the house.
