Know It All

Prologue

October 31st 1981, the day that would haunt Aurora for a long time after. The day she lost her parents, Uncles, Aunts and most things good in her life. Aurora Lily Potter was the older sister of Harry James Potter and daughter of James and Lily Potter. See Aurora was the only person who knew the true version of the story. She may have been three but she was a lot smarter than people thought, she was good at maths and writing but just hadn't developed fully in her speech. She was Remus' God-daughter but due to his 'condition' they took her as well as Harry. She stayed with the Dursleys too but they were in Dudley's second room instead of a cupboard. They shared it, honestly no two siblings could have been closer than these two. Ever since she was young Aurora had taken care of Harry, where the Dursleys didn't, showing Harry the love and affection he needed and deserved. Petunia despised her, this did have reason, not good but reason. Aurora looked exactly like her mother, long ginger hair, (slight curls from her Dad) slim build, strong jaw but her eyes were her Dad's deep brow that when in the sun looked like a pool of honey, many thought her to be mesmerising. 

She had always known of magic and seeing some of the things muggles did made her laugh of course this didn't end well. When she was eleven her Hogwarts letter came. The Dursley's didn't even try to stop her as she already knew, so did Harry. She would always tell him stories of the magic world and their true family. She opened it and was so excited but Harry looked sad so when they went to bed she questioned him "Harry, are you okay? You looked sad earlier."

He turned in bed and looked at her, her eyes looked although she aced to know the truth and that she cared so he opened up "No. Not really. I'm scared, when you leave I'll be here. All alone."

She sighed understanding his fears are said softly to the nine year old boy that lay in the bed next to hers. "I know this is all rather scary but soon you'll join me and we get to be out of their horrid way for months."

His eyes began to fill with hope. "I'm going to go to Hogwarts too?" His question sounded so eager. "Yes, Harry, you've already displayed signs of magic so I don't see why not!"

She replied with a giggle and the two drifted to sleep.
