Chapter 12

Chase's P.O.V

I woke up to Luke yelling at someone to go away, it seemed like Luke knew him but I don't know I could be dreaming still for all I know.

It seemed that Luke biting me had taken a lot of energy out of me, I had slept (for what I think) was a while and I was still ready to fall back asleep, and ontop of that whoever it was I didn't like so i was shaking underneath some furs.

After a while of their bickering he finally left and Luke dragged me out from under the blankets, I instantly snuggled up into his chest loving the comfort his touch gave me.

"Are you hungry Chase?" He whispered snuggling his nose into my hair, sighing contently. I shook my head no a little so I'd get the point across, to lazy to use my own words at the moment.

I felt Luke smile into my hair, "You need to eat baby, you haven't eaten in a while..." he trailed off. He knew as well (probably better) as me that I didn't like eating very much, even if I knew I would loose more weight than I would gain. "Please baby? For me?" He was almost to the point of begging, but I truely wasn't hungry, that was until he moved his evil mouth to behind my ear and starting nibbling on the skin. I instantly turned bright red trying and failing to get away from his devilish mouth.

"F-Fine!! I'll eat," I sqeaked, hiding my flushed face into his neck. I didnt know why I was red or why it had felt kind of good when Luke did that, it was embarrasing...

Luke tilted my head up for me to see his devilish smile, before he picked me up kissing me on the lips whispering "Thank you,"

Luke took me out into the maze of tunnels, once again I decided it necessary to hide my face the best i could away from everyone who passed by. I could feel their eyes boring holes into the back of my head though.

And I knew Luke was glaring at them all as we passed as well, I could hear him growling at them all.

"Ah, son, we were just about to come and find you," I heard what sounded like Luke's father say.

I heard Luke growl lowly enough for only me to hear "Yea, Chase needs food," he kissed my head.

I didn't know where he was taking me and I just hoped there wasn't very many werewolves there. I was still trying to wrap my head around everything... It was all so surreal.

"Chase? Chase?!" Luke quickly snapped me out of my trans, making me look up and him wondering why he was yelling. He had looked so worried at that point. "Are you alright baby?" He whispered.

I nodded at a loss for words, what was i supposed to say? I didn't like his kind? I didn't want to be in large crowds? I knew that this was his way of life and that I had no other choice but to come to terms with it if I wanted to stay with him. Which I did so very much.

"Baby? Here," Luke whispered picking me back up from where I had apparently been sat down to shaking like a leaf in the wind. I instantly snuggled back into Luke as he sat down at a part of the wooden table and chairs.

I kept my head down scared to see how many weres were looking at me, it scared me to know that I had to live with the very creatures that had hurt me when I was little.

Luke's P.O.V.

It worries me that Chase kept on spacing out for long periods of time, even though there was no one else in the room except the two of us.

"Baby," I whispered handing him a salad, I new he didn't exactly like meat at the moment and he wouldn't eat it without a lot of sweet talking so for now i'd let him eat his gross veggie food. "Eat please?"

I watched as Chase slowly started to eat his food, nibbling on it like a bunny would.

It worried me too much, that he was all skin and bones and wouldn't eat anymore than his weight or less. He'd always say that he was full when there was still almost a full plate of food left.

"Luke?" My mother asked walking into the room "Can we talk to you for a second?"

I nodded and quickly pecked Chase on the lips "I'll be right back alright? Stay here okay?" I whispered smiling reassuringly at him. I watched as he nodded looking at me before going back to his stupid veggie food.

After walking out I followed my mom to my dad's room, they both looked serious. Way too serious for my liking.

"Listen Luke, there's something you need to know about your mate," My said softly, making me tense, I knew something was wrong with him, something different about him than regular humans, but what?

"What is there something wrong with him?" I asked biting my lip worriedly. They both were looking pretty devastated, at the moment making me worry more.

What in the world could be wrong with Chase? Wasn't he going through enough as it was? Couldn't we both ever get a break from all these problems? Nope I guess we couldn't we weren't ever going to get a break were we?

" You're mates not actually fully human," My father said slowly as to let each word seep into my brain to let it get through to me.

It sounded so surreal coming from my father, my mother looked worriedly at me like I was going to pass out or something. I was probably pale though, what else could he be? What kind of creature could me so timid and shy as him?

"What do you think he is Luke? He could be any creature, what one pops into your mind when you see him?" My father asked looking at me his eyes softened greatly.

"I'm not sure dad, he doesn't look like a demon or were, he doesn't look like an-," I cut myself off thinking he has white hair, slim body and bony, and he had dark blue eyes I swore saw change colors once.

"Vampire," I whispered.
