Aish, my back and forehead feel like they've been run over by a truck. That damn blonde girl... She may look like some kind of innocent Barbie, but trust me, she's a devil in disguise. Stronger than Taehyung, and that's saying something considering Taehyung and I have the same physique. My body is definitely not built for handling her level of strength.

"You're finally home!" Jongsuk Hyung rushed over as soon as he saw me walking in. He looked... off. Sweat was dripping from his forehead, and there was blood on his shoulder.

"Why are you acting so weird?" I raised an eyebrow, instantly suspicious as he dragged me inside.

"There was an ambush earlier. We lost several people," he explained, his voice serious, clearly shaken. What? I had always doubted his senses, but it looks like I’ve been proven wrong—again. His instincts were spot on.

"Who's bold enough to attack the biggest gang in Korea? Another rival gang?" I asked, dreading the answer. We'd been attacked before by groups that later joined my father's gang. Could this be the same thing?

"Not just any gang, Jungkook. These are mafias," Jongsuk clarified. Mafias? That’s a whole new level of danger. No gang had ever won a fight with the mafia. If this goes bad, it could mean the end of everything for us.

I was torn—part of me would be relieved to live a normal life if the gang fell apart. But the rest of me, the part that cared about my family, knew that people like Jongsuk Hyung were in too deep. It would be devastating.

"Son!" I heard my father’s booming voice as he appeared at the top of the stairs, walking down like he owned the place—well, he did.

"Yes?" I turned, barely hiding my curiosity about what he had to say next.

"I'm guessing Jongsuk already told you what happened. If we don’t stop this now, there will be a sea of blood," he warned ominously. Typical dad—always overreacting. The big, scary boss of the Jeon clan was never one to mince words.

"What sea of blood? Are you talking nonsense again?" I scoffed, trailing behind him as we headed to his office. This guy never stopped with his dramatic phrases.

"If we don’t end this war, it’ll be our blood that will be spilled. It’s already started. The only way to stop it now is—" He stopped mid-sentence and, to my surprise, actually came up with a plan.

"Well, I’ll do whatever I can," I muttered. I couldn’t just watch everything fall apart. Despite everything, they were still my family.

"My old friend just arrived from abroad. The mafias that attacked us earlier? They’re from his clan. And although we’re enemies, we’ve been friends for years. He wants this to end too, and we’ve come up with a plan," Dad said with a heavy sigh.

"Okay, what’s the plan?" I asked, trying to sound interested, though I couldn’t care less about all the fighting and mafia business.

"He has a daughter. She’s the same age as you. We thought if you two had a relationship, it would help end the feud between the clans. I hear his men treat her like a precious gem, a princess," Dad continued. I could feel where this was going.

"I’m not having a relationship with someone I don’t even know," I shot back. I was still waiting for the girl I promised to marry—Mina, not some random mafia princess.

"It’s just a nisekoi, you idiot," Dad hit me lightly on the head. That didn’t help the headache I already had.

"Nisekoi? What does that even mean?" I rubbed my head, confused.
