|Hero of the Earth|
**** PERCY JACKSON****
I sat myself down hours ago on the same kitchen table I had been sitting on known. Staring at my mushy, runny cereal I blanked out on in my own thoughts of nothingness followed by the white noise.
The plan had been to go to the library and read some more but since last night could not think as clearly as I had hoped.
Coffee. I would make coffee, go to the library and read to my heart's content but there was a problem with that. I needed to move, I attempted to at least shift my position, but I kept on blinking in and out of my dull thoughts.
"You are not the good guy." I could hear whispers in my ear, the ones I hated to have ever heard from anyone, let alone mine or my 'Parter in crime'. "You are just a silly twenty-year-old who stumbled on this land and didn't get caught in time."
Sarai's voice rang on my ears, her insults infecting my mind like a computer various or a scratched-up disc, it repeated over and over. He hated it when she had this effect on him nor did he ever admit to it. "You are not the good guy."
Was he the good guy? I mean he had killed so many, injured more than that and don't get me started on before he was immortal, before the giant war... before... "You are not the good guy," it interrupted his thoughts. "You are not the good guy," His mind. "You are not the good guy" he was not the good guy...
This thought placed a lot of weight on the shoulders of the man, he always was called the 'Good guy' the 'Hero' but did any of those people know him? Sarai, in fact knows him, if he dares say, more than Annabeth or Grover. Was she right all along?
There was too much for him to think straight. He walks slowly to his bedroom leaving his bowl stranded in the cold, hue of the kitchen countertops. The Job starts tonight.
