The Coprinus Comatus Gigantus & Hericium Erinaceous Tree Rain Forest
On a distant
Earth-like world.
Giants release their pollen spores,
High upon a spring-morn breeze…
Some elegantly fan out,
To absorb as much sunlight as required.
Some gracefully droop like icicle parasols on stilts…
Either way their pollen flies far and wide
Across the landscape of their ancestors and
Contemporaries.
Giving new life to the forest
And beyond…
The living lungs,
For a global breath of
Life-giving air…
More precious
Than gold…
