The Mystery Crew

Chapter 1

"Good morning children. Hope you all are doing well. Today we have all gathered here in the memory of Jake, who attempted suicide the previous month."
"Again this witch is talking nonsense", a boy whispered to his best friend who was standing next to him. His best friend nodded in agreement. By the way you all must be confused of who the boy is and who is his best friend. So let me tell you. The boy is Alex, an eight grader and the person standing next to him is his best friend Blake. They both study in a boarding school named Oak Hills Academy and the witch (according to them) who was talking, is their Principal. Alex have three more friends. They are Grace, Lilly and Jay. Now let's continue with the story.
After nodding Blake started, "You are right bro! Jake got missing in the abandoned building situated in the North of the boarding. But she insists that he attempted suicide. It is entirely nonsense."
The other three also nodded in unison.
After a long lecture from the Principal they were dismissed to their dorms.
Time skip (In the dorm)
"I think there is someone in the abandoned building", Alex told while walking up and down the room.
" How did you know? " Grace asked him with a questioning face.
"Have you went there?" Lilly added while munching her chocolate.
"No! How will I go? I think the light bulb in the room present in the top most right corner of the building tries to sent some signals as the bulb always flickers in a pattern. " Alex said.
Blake exclaimed, "Shit! We are late for our first class! "
Everyone stood there panicking in the thought of being punished. They quickly grabbed their bags and rushed through the door. They reached the class as soon as possible and to their joy the teacher hadn't come there yet. They quietly entered the class and took their seats at the back. After sometime the teacher entered the class. He was panting heavily. He smiled towards his class and greeted them with a good morning.
"I just went to take a book from the library and that's why I got late. Sorry", the teacher said with guilt. The students gave him an assuring smile, which made the teacher cheerful again.
" So today we will continue with our morse code. The previous day I taught you the introduction and today we will understand how to read the code. The first medium through which the signal can be transmitted is a light bulb. "
The 5 friends stared at each other in shock realising that the light bulb in the building is trying to sent some signal.

Time skip to night in the room.
All of them were sitting near the window that faces the room in the abandoned building. Alex was sitting with a pair of binoculars, a notebook and a pen. They waited for long. During this long wait, Lilly slept while the others were waiting for the signals. Suddenly they saw something that surprised them greatly and all of them stared at it with rounded eyes and an open mouth.
