Raavi made her way to Pandya house the next morning. Shiva didn't know the true implication of gifting green bangles to any girl. She had to educate him. They were practically married at this point. Now they had to just make it official, but getting married properly with all the rituals.
Unfortunately, she found Dev just outside Pandya house. He was getting on his scooter. He stopped when he saw Raavi and smiled at her."Kaisi ho Raavi?" Dev asked.
Raavi sighed. Dev didn't matter anymore. She was now Shiva's, and Dev was equally responsible for it by being so dumb and late. "Ab bohot der ho chuki hai Dev."
"Der kyu? Abhi toh 10 bhi nahi baje." He looked at his watch.
Raavi rolled his eyes. "Tum woh chodo. Main Shiva se milne aayi thi. Kaha hai woh?"
"Shiva andar hai." He said.
Raavi didn't wait to bid him goodbye. She straight walked into the house. Looking at the green bangles on her wrist, she remembered that this house was now practically her sasural. Her dream of becoming a Pandya bahu now came true, but with Shiva. Why has fate chosen Shiva for her? Shiva didn't even know how to talk to her nicely. Who knew what kinda husband he'd become? Suddenly she came face to face with Krish. He held a hand to stop her.
"Mujhe pata hai tu kya puchne waali hai. Dev nikal gaya. Nahi hai woh." Krish said.
Raavi felt a tinge of irritation. "Main Dev se milne nahi aayi hu. Shiva se milne aayi hu."
"Usse milke kya hoga. Woh toh tujhe seedha ghar se bahar nikal dega."
Raavi pouted. It was true but now they were about to get married. "Tu dimag mat kha. Mera dimag already kharab hai. Upar se woh bhootnath abhi aur sarr khayega."
Without waiting for an answer, she walked inside. Shiva was currently sitting with Gaumbi and having breakfast. Dhara was serving them breakfast. She noticed Raavi and smiled. Raavi sat with them. Shiva rolled his eyes as he saw her.
"Tu bhi thodi si puri sabji kha le." Dhara said.
"Koi zaroorat nahi hai bhabhi. Bhukkad ko dekho already puri ki tarah ful rahi hai." Shiva said.
Raavi gasped and looked at her figure. Dhara hit Shiva.
"Mera figure bohot achha hai Shiva." Raavi said. "Bilkul Deepika Padukone ke jaise."
"Deepika.." Shiva grunted. "Deepika plastic surgery kara legi agar aisa hua toh."
"Shiva!" Gaumbi warned.
"Bas karo tum dono. Bachhe ho kya?" Dhara said. "Tu bata Raavi, kal tujhe mujhse koi baat karni thi na?"
Raavi wanted to speak about her alliance with Dev, but now things had changed. She couldn't get married to Dev. She had to marry Shiva. "Baat toh karni hai par baat thodi si badal gayi hai."
"Matlab?" Dhara asked.
Raavi showed her bangles to Dhara to explain it to her, but Dhara just touched them gently. "Bohot pyaari chooriyan hai."
"Shiva ne di." Raavi whined.
Shiva's face reddened and Dhara smiled. "Teri choice toh bohot achhi nikli Shiva."
"Woh aapne kaha tha gift lene aur yehi dikha sabse pehle market mein.." Shiva said, internally cursing the chipkali.
Raavi couldn't believe Dhara di didn't understand the significance of the green bangles. No wonder Shiva didn't know. This whole mess could have been avoided if Dhara di had taught him not to go giving green bangles to girls. Even Dhara di was at fault. Shiva had no idea what he'd done but now he had to face the consequences of what he'd done.
"Main aapse shaadi ke baare mein baat karne aayi thi." Raavi said.
"Ae gadheri, main teri shaadi Dev se hone nahi dunga. Aisa koi sapna hai toh chod de." Shiva shouted.
"Shiva!" Dhara scolded. "Achhe se baat kar Raavi se."
"Ohho Shiva tu shaant ho jaa." Gaumbi said. "Raavi tujhe Dev pasand hai na? Main bhi soch raha tha Dev se baat kar lu. Baat karne ke baad main khud maami se jaake rishte ki baat karunga."
Raavi panicked. She was Shiva's. It was so wrong. "Dev se nahi mujhe Shiva se shaadi karni hai."
Too many things happened at once. The first thing Raavi heard was a loud crash and then Shiva coughing. She turned around to see that Krish had dropped the bartan with the chutney. Shiva almost choked on his food and was coughing loudly. Dhara almost fell sideways but Gaumbi caught her. They all looked shocked. Raavi pouted some water and offered it to Shiva. He drank it in one go.
"Aaj 1st April toh nahi hai..." Krish said.
"Yeh kya bol rahi hai Raavi? Kal tak toh tujhe Dev se shaadi karni thi?" Dhara asked.
"Haa par ab mujhe Shiva se shaadi karni hai." Raavi muttered.
"Tu mazak kar rahi hai?" Krish asked.
Raavi shook her head.
"Ae gadheri! Maami ki behen ki beti! Subah subah afeem chadhake aayi hai kya?" Shiva shouted.
"Main mazak nahi kar rahi. Shaadi toh humari almost ho hi gayi hai. Ab proper waali karna baaki hai." Raavi said.
Shiva was shocked. "Yeh mazak abhi bandh kar warna..." He picked up a plate in warning.
Raavi took cover behind Dhara. "Dekh Shiva, main mazak nahi kar rahi. Tu samajh nahi raha humari jodi swayam Somnath ne banayi hai. Destiny Shiva! Shaadi hume karni hi paregi."
Shiva threw the plate and it crashed loudly. Raavi screamed and hid behind Gaumbi this time. Dhara tried to intervene by taking the plates from him, but Shiva stalked behind her. Raavi screamed and they ran around the house. Both Dhara and Gaumbi tried to stop him, but Shiv had lost his mind. Eventually he caught Raavi, and dragged her outside the house.
"Nikal yaha se. Aur apni shakal mat dikhana." Shiva said.
"Shiva meri baat toh sunn ek baar." Raavi grabbed his arm to stop him from leaving. "Yeh sab teri wajah se hi ho raha hai."
"Meri wajah se?" Shiva asked shocked. She had the audacity to blame him?
"Haa teri wajah se. Tune mujhe hari chooriyan gift ki Shiva. Aur hari chooriyon ka matlab shaadi hoti hai."
Shiva's eyebrows furrowed as she said that. What was wrong with this chipkali? Either her brain was just as small as a lizard's brain or she was making a fool out of him. "Kya? Gadhera samajh rakha hai? Kuch bhi bolegi main maan jaunga?"
"Yeh sach hai. Na tu mujhe hari chooriyan deta aur na mujhe tujhse shaadi karni parti." Raavi said.
"Toh mat kar. Fek de inn chooriyon ko."
"Aisa nahi hota. Fek nahi sakti." Raavi said. "Tune diya hai matlab diya hai."
"Dekh Raavi. Tujhe saaf saaf keh raha hu. Main tujhse kabhi shaadi nahi karunga. Kabhi bhi nahi."
"Karni toh tujhe paregi." Raavi said. "Inn chooriyon ki wajah se tu already mera pati hai."
"Tu na kisi achhe doctor se dimaag ka ilaaj kara!" Shiva shouted.
Saying this, he went outside, shutting the door on her face. Raavi groaned. Why him? Out of all the boys in Somnath, why did it have to be Shiva? Why couldn't it be someone nicer? How on earth would she get him to marry her? She wished Anita di hadn't told her about the story of Laila Majnu. But if she hadn't, she still would get married to Shiva. He was her destiny. Atleast this way she could be prepared for it.
