Stroll

After the breakfast I had with mom. I decided to meet with Nery for the reason that she needs a friend to help her shop because she has a date with another guy she met on tinder. As a supportive sugar best friend, I'm here for it.

"Damn, she looking good. What's up with the getup?" that was Nery hyping me up while going in on my car. She was even clapping, making me regret that I dressed up today because most days is a sweatpants day for me. I know that something changed in me, the fact that I always want to look good because I might run to a certain someone. I shook my head while smiling. "My girl has now bloomed, huh. You're thriving," she added.

"Are we going to the mall directly?" I changed the topic and made the car roar. Nery pulled the sun visor attached to the car and used the mirror on it. She was looking at herself and declared that we needed to visit the salon first. Believe me, Nery doesn't need to do a makeover cause she's already beautiful. But if it makes her happy, I'll oblige.

"What do you think? Should I trim my hair or dye it?" Nery is fondling her hair in front of the mirror as the hairstylist stands at her back, waiting for her decision. "Just trim it," I said as I glanced at the people sitting on the lounge. It was packed with waiting customers—no space for me. I sighed and told Nery that I would have a quick stroll while she was having a makeover. She gave me a 'go away' hand gesture which I replied with a roll eyes, and we ended up laughing quietly.

I was out of the salon and was thinking about where to go when I saw him. As always, he was wearing a very formal attire, an all-black suit matched with a pastel pink inner. I've never seen pink as a manly color, but with him wearing it.... goodness.

My focus went to the person standing next to him. A lady. She's a stunning woman. Her nude blazer gives her a professional appearance. They were conversing, as far as I could tell. The woman keeps glancing at Demetri while Demetri's attention is mainly on the steps he takes.

I was instinctively following them and started to fear that they might see me. I felt like a spy, attempting to remain undetectedtiptoeing from light post to light post. I'm certain I'm beginning to come across as creepy.

"Fuck." I heard a voice cursed when I collided with someone. That, someone, was surely tall and muscular because my head was now spinning from the clash with that hard chest.

"Gosh, I'm so sorry." I apologized since I was the one not paying attention to where I was going. I was very distracted by Demetri and his woman.

"It's fine. Next time mind where you're going." I can tell he's annoyed by the tone of his voice. I had to glance up since he was taller than me. I could see his countenance shift from irritation to surprise and worry.

"Fuck, your nose is bleeding."

I was too slow to process the information and just froze. Surprisingly, the man knew what to do. He tilted my head forward and pinched the soft spot on my nose. I was just staring at him, amazed by how quick he was. He continued to apply pressure on my nose for a couple of minutes.

"It was supposed to be my day off, but here I am, attending to a patient even outside the hospital," he broke the silence between us. I blinked a couple of times, checking if my vision was not twirling anymore. "This is because of my carelessness. My bad."

I noticed him reaching into his back pocket for something, and he pulled out a handkerchief. He removes the red stain on my nose by softly patting the cloth against my skin.

He was so close. I could smell the minty breath he had even when my nose was bleeding. That's how close he is.

He checked our surroundings and stopped his gaze on the restaurant where Demetri got in. "Let's go in. You need to sit, and we can ask for ice."
