A few months had passed and honestly, these were some of the best few months in your life. You and Jungkoook got closer and closer with each day that passed and honesty it made you happy, being close with someone who played an important role earlier in your life again was amazing. You guys went from going to the cafe that was on your school's campus every lunch to being inseparable.
You were on your way to the first period, softly humming a song to yourself when you suddenly heard a familiar voice call out your name. Smiling, you stopped in your tracks and turned around to look at the owner of the voice as he jogged towards you.
Y/n: Well good morning to you too, Mr. Jeon.
You greeted once he stood beside you.
Jungkook: Good morning.
He smiled his iconic bunny smile at you.
Y/n: Sleep well?
You questioned and resumed walking to class, Jungkook walking beside you, nodding at your question.
Jungkook: Out like a candle, you?
Y/n: I slept well, thank you for asking.
You replied to his question. Most of the walk to class was silent, it wasn't an awkward silence, but a comforting silence.
As you and Jungkook turned into the hallway in which your class was located, he suddenly spoke up.
Jungkook: I'm seeing someone.
He suddenly blurted out, which caught you quite off guard. You once again stopped in your tracks and looked at him.
You'd be lying if you said your feelings for Jungkook haven't returned over these few months and hearing him say he was seeing someone kinda broke you inside. You felt a few tears starting to gather in your eyes, quickly wiping them before Jungkook could notice you cleared your voice, putting on a fake smile, and spoke up.
Y/n: Wow, Kook. That's great news, I'm happy for you. Who's the lucky girl?
Jungkook: You know the new girl, Maya?
Y/n: The one that arrived last night?
Jungkook: Yeah, so a few weeks ago we started texting a lot and I asked if she wanted to see a movie last night, to which she said yes and by the end of the night I ended up asking her out and she said yes.
Y/n: You went to the movies with her? Is that why you canceled our plans?
Jungkook: Yes and I am so sorry for that, I promise I'll make it up to you though.
You just nodded and let out a soft sigh, walking into your class and sitting down in your seat which was next to Jungkook's. You both sat down, taking your books out of your bag you placed them onto your desk.
There were a few minutes left of morning time before class started and you and Jungkook were busy messing and joking around when you suddenly saw a female figure walking towards you and Jungkook's direction. You watched as she walked up to Jungkook and loosely wrap her arms around Jungkook's shoulders.
Maya: Good morning, love.
She smiled at him and placed a kiss on his cheek.
Jungkook: Well good morning.
He smiled back at her and wrapped an arm around her waist before he turned to look at you.
Jungkook: Y/n, this is Maya my girlfriend, Maya this is Y/n, my best friend.
Y/n: Well she is really pretty, I don't know how you managed to pull her.
You joked before you held out your hand towards her.
Y/n: It's nice to meet you, Maya.
Maya: Nice to meet you too.
She shook your hand, a fake smile plastered on her face as she tightly squeezed your hand.
Jungkook: Well I am quite good-looking as well.
He replied to your joke with a smile.
Y/n: Who told you that lie?
Jungkook: Well, you do comment on my appearance quite often saying I'm good looking
You let out a soft laugh and shook your head.
Y/n: If you say so, Kookie.
Maya glared at you before she cleared her throat and looked and Jungkook.
Maya: Kookie, can I sit next to you today?
She smiled at him. Hearing her call Jungkook by the nickname you made for him, your head shot up and you looked at the two.
Jungkook: Well I mean that's something you're gonna have to ask Y/n. It's her seat that's beside mine.
Maya: Please, Y/nie?
She asked and looked at you, fluttering her eyelashes. You let out a heavy sigh and packed up your things, standing up.
Y/n: I don't see how changing seats for a period can do any damage.
You smiled. Maya squealed and put her bag beside your seat and sat down. Before you walked over to her seat you turned and looked at Jungkook.
Y/n: See you at lunch?
Jungkook: Of course, I'll be at our usual spot.
He smiled and you nodded before you walked over to Maya's seat, sitting down.

WELL I'M GONNA END TODAY'S CHAPTER THERE.
I ORIGINALLY PLANNED ON ENDING THE BOOK IN THE NEXT 2 OR 3 CHAPTERS BUT THAT WOULD BE QUITE BORING SO I'M ADDING A LIL SPICE.
SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT I GOT CAUGHT UP WITH SCHOOL, I STARTED HOLIDAYS LAST WEEK BUT I HAD COVID AND FELT QUITE SHITTY SO I DIDN'T UPDATE.
