When she got home, Marley called her dad back.

"You called?" Marley said when her dad answered the phone.

"Yea. I did. I was trying to figure out where the hell my 14 year old daughter got the idea that she could just up and leave whenever she fucking pleased."

"Welp. When you come home to screaming every day and don't wanna deal with it anymore then you just leave whenever you please." Marley said in a pissed off manor.

"Marley you can't just leave whenever you want. I don't care what Jada says to you. You need to stay there." her dad said angrily.

"In my defense I told Jada I was leaving. I told her I was going out. Yea I didn't tell her where I was going or who I was gonna be with but I still told her I was leaving." Marley said sarcastically.

"Mar, you can't keep doing shit like this If you keep doing this kind of shit then it will make it that much harder for me when I go to get custody of you at the end of this year." said sorrowfully. "You do want to come live with me don't you?"

"Yes, of course I do. I want nothing more than to get the hell away from Jada. But I can't just sit here and do nothing when she starts treating me like shit. I just won't do it." Marley said defensively.

After a small, awkward silence, Marley finally said "I gotta go. I have homework to do."

"Please, just try and get along with her, just for now. Just until I can figure out how to get you here before the school year is over." Her dad said in a hushed tone.

Once Marley was off the phone with her dad, she texted Chevy.

Her heart skips a beat when he responds right away.

"Hey there pretty lady."

"What's up?" Marley asked.

"Not much. Just really miss this amazing girl I spent most of today with."

When Marley read that text she blushed shades of red she didn't know she could.

"That's funny. I'm missing this totally sexy guy I spent most of today with." She replied with a smile on her face.

"I think I'm falling for you." Chevy replied after a few minutes.

"I think I'm falling for you too." Marley replied.

"You make me feel like i can do anything, as long as I have you by my side." Chevy replied.

"Can I say something crazy?" Marley asked nervously.

"Of course." Chevy answered.

"I love you.' She said.

As she waited for a text back she wondered if she had said it too soon. A million things ran through her head.

Marley swore her heart stopped when she saw Chevy's reply.

"I love you too." was all it said.

After about an hour of sitting in disbelief Marley went to bed. While trying to fall asleep she wondered what made Chevy love her. When Marley thought about herself, all she saw was a girl who was broken. She always just assumed that nobody would ever love her because of what had happened to her. She couldn't believe that someone as amazing and perfect as Chevy could love a girl as broken as herself. But he did. And she was going to fight like hell to make sure she didn't lose him. She was happy for the first time in a long time and that was because of Chevy. She owed him so much and couldn't think of a way that could ever repay him for everything he has done for her in the short time that they have known each other.
