"Ek kan nie wag dat die oorlog verby is nie, sodra dit klaar is, kan ons uiteindelik pak, op 'n skip gaan en na New York in die Verenigde State van Amerika verhuis" said Levi. Everybody just looked at him with a impressed look, for the past year everyone was learning Afrikaans and even though his brother Luke had been learning Afrikaans for 2 years at this point, Levi knew Afrikaans better. "It means, I can't wait for the war to pass, once it's done, we can finally pack, go on a ship and move to New York in the United States of America." "Anyway the Treinen is where the Nazi's take jews like us." Said Luke. Just then they heard the fireplace door open and someone said, "Nimm die Hände hoch und komm mit uns, du Dreckskerl." Right away Levi's mother said, "It means put your hands up and come with us you filth." At that moment they all put their hands up and Lucy said, "The Treinen."
